This is the figure that showed me McFarlane could take figures further if they wanted to. It comes with a little of everything with a great sculpt and great paint job!...from what we can see in the package. But what's it like out of it?

This came out of nowhere for me but when I saw it, it immediately brought me back to why I love the Legends EU! The box art immediately takes you back to the comic tie ins and the books played through my head lookin this over. But will the figures match the Legend in my head?

I can't find him anywhere maaaan but fantastic fig 👏
I only saw him twice. The time i got him (and they only had 1) and 1 one other time. He's a hard one!
Finally, all is right with the world. I too enjoyed this storyline. I have the collected edition of it. Assuming it's the whole thing. It was 96 pages. Anyway, fantastic set.
Glad to see you back, man! Hoping you got the phone issue resolved! And yeah, it's a great set!! Love it!
@dclassd-railed1549 No, not really. I can get the charge up a little, but it drains quickly. But I'm trying to pop in every now and then.
Happy Thanksgiving. I think he looks awesome. I love Frank Miller Batman. Im gonna try my best to pick him up at Walmart tomorrow. Wish me luck.
Good luck! He's Awesome! If you can, try Best buy if no luck at Wal-Mart. They've been surprising me alot!
Buying 4 sets is a bit excessive. But yeah, I get it. NECA nailed these for sure 👌🏾😮💨
Thank you so much for the comment! I've seen your videos and your videos are amazing! I feel honored!
Had no idea that Kevin Eastman was in a delete scene in the movie. And I've seen some of the deleted scenes on RUclips. That would make a nice display, having most of the cast of the movie together along with the creators. I say most because I doubt there's a Charles figure.
I didn't either! This figure taught me alot.... To always buy tmnt action figures!
@dclassd-railed1549 Indeed. You can never have too many.
I like these figures. The original drawings are quite appealing; however, I don't think I picked up on why there's two versions here. The bigger one I know it's that Michaelangelo sketch, but that smaller one kind of looks like in the style of Stan Sakai.
It's the first from each artist. The bigger is the OG and the smaller was the first version by the other (I forget who went first)
"Weapon of Vengeance" is a great name. This reminds me of the old Amalgam crossover, but, of course, within the same Marvel. Just a bizarre combination. I mean, it would be that Wolverine died and made a deal with a previous Rider. If I remember the Nicholas Cage movie correctly, that is. I'm assuming this is based on a comic storyline.
Yeah, comic storyline but not sure what going on for this to happen. Especially since ghost rider is there too
@dclassd-railed1549 That's weird. They're supposed to switch. Either it's an oversight or someone's from an alternate reality.
@atothed84 I think Marvel has thrown the book out the window on rules to be honest. Its a story I'd like to read!
@dclassd-railed1549 Yeah, it sounds like something I'd like to read, too.
Been pondering this pack looks good close up many thanks. I like the story of knightfall so will look good with the books.
As much as I prefer the black and grey look of Batman, I do like this light blue and grey alternate.
The Batman is decent tho then face paint is a little... off. And yeah, I prefer the black and Grey but I remember when this was the color scheme! How things have changed
@dclassd-railed1549 I remember this color scheme from the old Batman cartoon where Adam West voiced the character. Yeah, that was the norm and then it got darker, to now where it's all black.
That's a fanfic figure, not real TMNT.
I mean. I get not liking that part of IDW Canon. It's how I feel about Disney Star Wars.
@@dclassd-railed1549 Then we think alike.
@judesheckelberg5135 lol in general. I actually don't mind jennika
@@dclassd-railed1549 Nobody's perfect 🙂
Wanted a diorama for a while. Saw your review pop up so I watched it. Thanks for covering.
Anytime! Def worth it! BigBadToyStore is a good price.
Love this diorama, but I had the same issue with the top holes being in the wrong place. If you watch my video, you’ll see that I completely avoided using the brackets.
Yeah, I avoided it too. Thankfully, they aren't really needed
I only know this Turtle from images and that people seem to like her, unlike Venus De Milo who seems to be universally despised.
Seems Venus from Next Mutation is the version hated. There is a version of her in the IDW Turtles that people like. So there ended up being 6 turtles eventually at one point.
@dclassd-railed1549 Technically, 8 if you count Tokka and Slash, but continuity is all over the place.
@atothed84 true. I meant 6 tmnt. My bad
@dclassd-railed1549 No, I knew what you meant. I just always liked Tokka and Slash, hate for them not to be included. Especially, Slash, he's the fifth brother, after all.
Amazing diorama !!! Thanks for sharing with us!!!!
Than YOU for the view and comment! I really appreciate it! And yeah, I love this dio!
TBH should have waited they will reissue this one for 150 just like they did the CARTOON one
Uh... it's $115 on BigBadToyStore. Neca can keep it for $150 if I can get it elsewhere lol
Now this is a playset. Very nice. And, you know what, brother? I've gotten deformed pieces in the past. I feel you.
Gotta love good old QC!
Honestly: Cryin' Hound > Goro. I'd be so giddy if they did a Cudley the Cowlick figure, that can also hold the Turtles in his mouth. Traveling through dimensions I understand is too much.
Cudly would be awesome! But for that kind of scale, I sadly think the price point would be unreasonable, sadly
I did not know the Rat King appeared in the Mirage comics version. That's good to know. I'd have to say, I like the alternative head better, it looks closer to the cartoon version. The original looks better suited for a mummy. That being said, I've always liked this villain. Don't think he appeared much in the cartoon though.
I agree there is an oddly weird balance between the Mirage appearance and the cartoon, yet they pulled it off perfectly! This is Def up there as a figure of the year for me. And I agree about the alternate head!
Aside from what you mentioned, it looks pretty good. I had some of these figures, back in the day. It would great if the line extended to the other games and TV show, as well. It'd be fun to see Blind Salamander Jim, Evil Earthworm Jim, and even Earthworm Kim.
Thanks "D" for posting this review! 👍 I ordered one of these. It looked sort of disappointing. I didn't want to open it. So, your demo showed me this figure is better than it seems!!!
Edit: I am so sorry! My response was thi king of a different figure! I was pleasantly surprised by this figure and have had a lot of fun with it. For being of the vintage size, there's a lot going for it and I Def give this an A+!
I love me some Steel, but this is definitely not from Reign of the Supermen. Maybe it's just me, but I'd like a Steel from the Shaq movie. That was my true introduction to the character, aside from a few issues of the comic.
I don't know if McFarlane ever did that Shaq/Steel. MAFEX did an actual Reign of Steelmtho and it looks amazing and I'd love it!
The ring is pretty small, but it still looks nice. It seems to be missing the steel steps though. That's a shame. You could've done piledrivers on them. Especially diving from the top of the cage.
Yeah, it's ashame about the steps but they cam be bought and I'll Def get them!
@@dclassd-railed1549 Excellent.
Who doesn't love a party dude? Those nunchucks are such a cool weapon. He was my favorite too. He's like a big kid, so when you're a kid yourself, he's quite relatable. I had a pair of nunchucks when I was a kid. They were training ones, so they had foam protection around the sticks, but I removed that; a real man can take a blow to the face.
He was always my favorite too. With Raph as a close 2nd
The nunchucks do attach to the wrist - fantastic. I love it, I just love it. And at the end, chef's kiss.
Thanks man! Totally agree these are amazing!
i agree about the head the figure has on. i see they wanted something dynamic and dramatic, but it just doesn't work. The masked face looks the closest to classical April, but i believe it is the hair that is the closest to classic 80s April i can see why the sai is bothersome, it is unlikely a nod to the live action movie, where Raph loses a sai, and April finds it, and claims it (in this world), but if i was telling the story of the figure, that's how i would display it
Que buena figura
I have no idea who this is, but I do like the color scheme. And yeah, those hands look weird.
This is the Superman of New Earth-2 (New 52 multiverse), Val-Zod. He was sent to earth same as Kal-El and Kara. He took over as Superman when Darkseid invaded his world and killed Kal-El. I actually really enjoyed that storyline
@@dclassd-railed1549 Okay. Unless it was in a movie or cartoon, I have no idea. My comics knowledge is pretty limited.
Always loved the Mr. T. character. Though I never knew he was a wrestler. I figured he was an actor who I only ever saw in Rocky II and the A-Team, and wrestled to promote a movie or something. Like how the actor from Arrow wrestled to promote his new wrestling show, then just still wrestles ever now and then.
He wasn't really a wrestler. As far as I know (and I could be wrong) wrestlemania was his only appearance. But him and hogan had appearances in other things together like A-Team
@@dclassd-railed1549 Memories from when you're three or four years old, at least for me, tend to be fuzzy. I don't know of any other appearances either.
Now that you mention it, I don't like the color-coded weapons either. It seems tacky.
It's funny cause it's only on Donnie that it looks off to me. Blue on Leoxs Swords or red on Raph's says looks fine. Orange on nunchucks are close enough to woodish that I'm okay with it. It's just that purple on Donnie's bo that's too much to me
It just occurred to me that these Turtles look like Stan Sakai's style, right out of Usagi Yojimbo comics. Maybe even Groo the Wanderer. That old school cartoony style is quite pleasing to look at. Now I'm eagerly awaiting Michaelangelo's appearance. I swear, if there isn't an option to have the nunchucks strapped to his arms, I'm going to be a little disappointed. I mean, Ralph came with that sword you could strap to his back.
Mikey is uploaded and just awaiting release!
You know, I actually liked that they came with alternate weapons and it's a shame they weren't used on the show. And I do like that stand these come with, like almost a hovering platform, (at least in my mind) but it's weird that the props don't hook into anything.
Let me tell you something, brother: the reason why his shoulders are like that is so all the little Hulkamaniacs at home can do the Axe Bomber just like the real Hulk Hogan, brother! But I'm the same way, despite the fact that he's kookoo for Coco Puffs, I won't let it ruin my childhood memories. (Most of them would be ruined if I let these lunatics get to me, as an adult. Whether it be movies, games, or cartoons, etc.) And on that note, you know what would be great? If some toy company made a Suburban Commando figure. Now that would be the ultimate collection.
Perfect ad pitch!!
@@dclassd-railed1549 Thanks, brother.
Hulk Hogan has really gone downhill. He got fired from the WWE for being racist and he threatened to body slam Kamala Harris.
Yeah, I know in recent years, his actions haven't been acceptable. And obviously. I don't support that. But I also won't let it taint my childhood. The figure represents a different time for me when things seemed simpler
Playmates did a karai in the 2003 and 2012 toyline and this figure is an homage to mirage as karai is from mirage.
Much appreciated that info! I didn't know that!
I don't know Karai very well, aside from the TMNT movie, but I do like me a female ninja.
Yeah, I don't know too much either but it really is an awesome figure!
I'm kind of curious about Michaelangelo, if he'll have an option to have the nunchucks strapped to his forearms.
Oh, he's coming!
I have mixed feelings about Baby Yoda. And looking at it here as toy, it seems like it should be more of an accessory to, what I assume is The Mandalorian - the guy dressed up as Boba Fett. Yeah, I'm not up-to-date with lore.
To be fair, I think there is a version of the ma do that does come with Grogu. I got this on a whim, way later so this served my purpose. But for the money's worth, I agree the Mando combo would have been better
I've always liked the look of Doomsday. He kind of looks like a giant troll from fantasy stories. Though I kind of wish he came with a General Zod figure, specifically his corpse, like an accessory. Then it would be truly complete.
Well, that was Batman V Superman. Personally, I didn't care for that origin. I always preferred the comic one. This actually isn't Doomsday (even tho they call him that). But it's really awesome looking! I wish the green glowed in the dark!
@@dclassd-railed1549 It's not Doomsday? And yet they call him that? I think the manufacturer needs to do some homework.
@atothed84 yeah. It's someone Cadmus/Amanda Waller had spliced with Doomsday DNA and Krypronite to be a weapon against Superman. Never read the story. Had to look it up when this figure was announced cause everyone in the comments were bashing the figure name
This is just fantastic. I remember seeing that sketch with all four turtles in the trailer for that documentary, Turtle Power. I'm so glad there's a copy that comes with these figures. Definitely an awesome edition to the collection, I'm sure.
Yeah, I was really happy with the set. Andnyou can't argue the price. Playmates is killing it lately!
This is one of the few modern games I'm halfway interested in playing someday. I like the look of it, I like how Aloy looks.
The 1st game was absolutely amazing. Def worth playing!
It's nice they brought back the old ones. Yeah, I remember people complaining about the texture, like it was the end of the world. It's looks fine.
That's a figma, and you got a great deal.
That's cool, there's a spinning bo accessory. And I did not know there was a lab playset. But $300? Jesus, that's like most of the rent.
Yeah, the price is ridiculous
I definitely grew up watching Bob and learned a lot from him. He was a drill seargent in the army or something and hated yelling at people, which is why he was so calm on his show. To the point where he sounded like he was psychotic. All kidding aside, he was just wonderful and with a great sense of humor. He chuckled every time he would wet the brush and splash water on the legs of the crew. I chuckled every time, too.
He was a gift to everyone. World is a bit darker without him
@@dclassd-railed1549 True.
He does look too bulky. It's very disproportionate, like a bodybuilder who went too far. Other than that, I like seeing a Krypto figure. I remember him from the old Superboy cartoon. At least, I think there was a Superboy cartoon. Might've been one of the SuperFriends shows. Still, I always wondered how he flew too. How does this dog have powers?
I don't recall a Superboy cartoon but there was actually a Krypto cartoon. So maybe that? The body works if it's the right Superman. Like the Dark Knight Returns version as that's the body/mold that sculpt is from, just repurposed. Superman really does have that build in that comic. And it's silly, but krypto is actually kryptonian so he gets the powers just like Superman. Makes you scared if a bee or other passive escaped with them, the powers it'd have!
@@dclassd-railed1549 Maybe that's it, a Krypto cartoon. It was all reruns for me, so it all blended together.
Hey man great video! Have you achieve multiple poses for this figure?
@Okay-jojo I did a few. I'll be honest, I posed it and then just left it on display. I need to mess with it more when I get downtime. I always opening something new so adhd overdrive lol
Thats a figma figure not bootleg
You sure? It seems a it off compared to the images I've seen of legit figma
Its definitely bootleg, crumpled box is a good tell. Also technically all bootlegs are just resold from the original companies
Thank you. Appreciate it. It Def seemed like one just from certain pieces that don't stay attached alone. And the price was too cheap to be a real one
Awesome figure. Looks familiar, also. But yeah, at the end of the second movie he doesn't have any claws. He just grabs the girl by the neck and threatens to punch her, basically.
I've used this figure in a few comics already that I've posted. So might be why it looks familiar. Had him open for a while. And yeah, I missed those claws. Made him look so much more menacing!
@@dclassd-railed1549 Yeah, the first movie was so ultra violent they had to tone it down for the second, but those claws should be there, regardless. He's not called the Shredder for nothing. He's lethal.
I'm aware of The Witcher, the games and the TV show, but I'm more of an Elder Scrolls kind of guy, creating my own character, specifically female.
Both are great games! Can't go wrong with either!
did it break so far?
No, but I haven't really done much with him. He's on display. But I never felt he was fragil.
