This Village Green Application to register the15 hectares Bunyards Farm will be going to a public inquiry in County Hall Maidstone from 19 to 22 March 2024. TIf successful this land land will remain as a green space for the recreational benefit of the residents of Allington for posterity and we would appreciate donations to our justgiving page.

Prelude was built to a Laurent Giles design, on a parade ground in Aldershot (Surrey UK) in the late 1930's by 3 young British Army Officers (Jim Gavin, Millis Jefferis and Bill Purser) along with my grandfather Brian Passmore and who made this film. This film was shot in 1959 by Brian Passmore (1899 -1985) who at that time was Managing Director of his family printing business in Maidstone Kent - UK. Brilliant footage and have found all your videos somewhat fascinating since I came across the 1902 clip of the children playing at the beach where I noticed a comment from this account. Hard to believe this vivid footage is from 1947 as something about the young man feels much more planted in the past 25 years instead of 75 years ago. I couldn’t help but notice a much more elderly man on one of the last slide show photos (of your “happy birthday” video from 2 years ago) who vaguely resembles Michael from this footage. May I ask if either of them (from this video) are still alive today?
Thanks for uploading, very evocative. Alabaster Passmore and Sons were responsible for printing the bulk of the wartime "Aircraft of the Fighting Powers" series. A very complex printing job because of the many two and three-page fold-out plans and colour plates.
