Nice hunt. Over the years I have found out that not taking a shot sometimes leads to a better day later on. I have had seasons when it is done in the first few minutes to waiting several days to a couple of weeks for the time to shoot. Always neat to have that souvenir slug. Is that a Foster type slug? Enjoy the meat and the memories.
Yes you’re right it’s important not to take the shot sometimes! The bullet I think is a foster slug, or a rifled slug, the type for smooth bore shotguns.

Congrats on your deer, i could feel your excitement and you caught it all on film. Have no problem with the safety comments, they are valuable reminders to all of us. The other comments about showing your excitement and a few choice words I'm sure was nothing more then the adrenaline from the experience. Keep enjoying your hunts and be safe, so you will have many more good memories

In New Jersey you must have iron sights or a scope in order to shoot slugs… your setup would only be allowed for buckshot.

Please practice safe gun handling, our sport does not need any videos showing a hunter ever loading his firearm inside a building. Sportsman should be the leaders in firearm safety, NRA #3 rule never loads you gun till ready to shoot, at least be in your stand. Tennessee Hunter Safety Instructor

Second season of shotgun is over. Now it is late muzzleloader and bow. I can’t get any more anysex tags but I can get a antler-less tag. So I may try to take a doe before the season is over!
