    I just ordered this system and I have a question if I have coverage for 16 ft² my base coat is the black and purple and then I have added white powder silver powder and gray powder to add different colors. How am I separating the usage of A and b when mixing those separate colors how much of the resin and and hardner Am I using to cover the counter. If the package I ordered covers 16 ft² am I leaving some left over so I can do the three different colors? I've been looking at videos and none specifies how to do the base and then at each separate color

    Hi, I would like to cast a dry twig with leaves that is approximately 6 years old. How would i have it slightly floating from the bottom? Should i pour a layer first or would it cause it to separate in some way from the rest? I could also only do it in my basement which would have really low temperatures overnight like 5°C. Would it cause problems? Thanks a lot in advance for the response.

      Hello, That depends on the initial state of the floor. If the floor is every uneven and textured, sanding might be required, as the epoxy is onyl 1.5mm thick, it might not mask off profound unevenness.

It can be poured up to 2 cm deep per layer. The Resin A-component and hardener B-component are included in each set, as well as the desired colour dye or pigments. Instructions for use can be found on this product page. 24 hours at 20°C to harden and 7 days for full chemical curing to occur. • @epodex-uk3877
      @epodex-uk3877 Год назад

      Hi :) Our products are chemical products but once cured and hardened they are not toxic and do not pose a threat to one’s health. Our products are remarkably odourless during processing, but we always recommend wearing a mask, protective clothing, and gloves (nitrile). Goggles can also be to protect one’s eyes. When sanding and griding surfaces please wear a respirator mask to avoid inhaling dust. Always work in a ventilated room meaning that the doors to the room are open to provide adequate air flow but do not open the windows as humidity can affect your work. Team EPODEX UK

    • @epodex-uk3877
      @epodex-uk3877 Год назад

      Hello Jasmine, This is called a Dirty Pour Technique. Heres how it done: If you wish to create a dirty pour you must first create a barrier (dam) around the edges with our strong, durable masking tape. Press the tape around the entire project. The tape should stick up at least a half-inch. 🎨 Pro Tip: One continuous piece of tape may be difficult to achieve but aim for as few seams as possible. Don’t wait too long before removing the tape. If the resin completely hardens, it will be difficult to remove. For the least hassle, it is best to remove the tape no more than 16 to 12 hours after pouring. Gelling times can be found on our system comparison sheet. You want the resin to be set, but still flexible so that the tape pulls off easily allowing the epoxy to flow down the edges in a slow movement. Upon removing the tape, you will notice some spots that will need to be treated with a paintbrush to ensure full coverage. Make sure you dip the paintbrush in the epoxy mixture before using it. Start using the paintbrush in a horizontal motion, spreading the epoxy over the edges. Do not worry about messing your design up if you have worked with various colours as the epoxy will still flow downwards bringing the design you have created over the edges. Only work on the face of the edges, not the top. Once you have painted the edges with a paintbrush take a stir stick and run it along the bottom of the edges to scrape the bottom drips off. You will need to do this periodically for an hour or two. For a final topcoat of epoxy, you can sand at a higher grit as the epoxy layer will then remove the scratches from sanding. You can round sand the bottom edges as well if needed to give the finishing touches to your edges. Hope this helps :) Contact me for more assistance at support@epodex.com. Team EPODEX
