Unfortunate, but it happens. Funny thing about musky, big mean fish, but pretty delicate. Most common issues leading to death are really warm surface water, hooking in a bad spot like the gills, or laying on rocks or cement where they will almost always flop a few times which is pretty hard on them. Anyway, you tried to do the best you could and sometimes it happens. Nice fish!

Nice vid! Personally I prefer catfish. Like them 20 to 26 inch for better fillet thickness. Love them beer battered. Second for me is crappie. Walleye trout and white bass are all pretty good but in no particular order at 3 through 5.

Dude, like your channel. Great catch,.. But one tip- please lower muskies in your net, never drop one from the wall like that! Those things are pretty delicate believe it or not! If they hit awkward, like a belly flop, they can do them in pretty quick. IF hooked bad, cut hooks and leave them in them...etc. I would lower any large heavier fish. They hit the water pretty hard from that high. Any musky or decent size flatheads... I know you guys are good fishermen and not beginners, but like you said, its your first time handling musky. Anyway, great channel cat your lady caught also. Thats not just a decent channel cat, thats a VERY good channel cat. Good job guys. This is Bo, by the way.

Nice! I've been out a few times since they stocked. Been catching a lot on that chartreuse trout worm also. Had the same thing happen to me, those goldens won't bite on anything, but one tried eating my bobber
