Pre-season building has had a slow start but now the whales are getting bigger and we need to build windrows to catch the snow during the windy days and nights. In this video I take a Bison X up the slope to build some windrows and catch some snow... Norefjell, Norway November 2024

The Northern Hemisphere winter has arrived. New Ski resort, new crew, new slopes to build and learn... here we go again! Starting with some whale hunting to get our base down, I have dabbled in some snowmaking to get something to push and today is the first day in a snowcat for the 2024-2025 ski season in Norefjell, Norway. Pushing Some Life Into The Last Slopes

It looks like the bad weather is going to beat us. Rain and warm wind has decimated our snowpack, so we are down to the last few slopes. some patch work with the bin cat has been needed and now the Pistenbully 400 Park will be used to scavenge whats left to keep the slopes alive. Mt Buller, Australia August 2024

The end of the season feels closer each day thanks to warm weather and no sign of snowfall. Not the perfect time to learn a new slope, but here we go anyway... down to Wombat in the Pistenbully 400W to patch whats left of the road and see if we can save the slope... Mt Buller, Australia August 2024

Try rain x on your blade when pushing wat snow nothing will stick
which camera do you use?
Very nice video not used to seeing a pisten bully painted blue
Seriously cool vid, awesome music, awesome footage/cinematography, really nice to see you pushing some volumes of snow around.
I’m filming in this video, that is my colleague pushing snow in the park. Unfortunately I can’t film and drive, not enough hands 😅
Wow, really nice livery!!😎
Nice video 👌👌👌👍👍👍👍
you need to turn the speed up on that thing mate :D
Believe it or not in Sweden the general trend is to run excavators at just above half throttle due to the price of diesel. I got told that immediately by my employer when he handed me the keys, Volvo’s are happy running in “G” anyway, only run in “P” when doing heavy digging in hard ground. I get paid by the hour so no skin off my nose.
Love the exterior cabin footage, you get to really appreciate the volume of snow you are pushing around, way more than I thought, it's a great perspective of the overall.
Prinoth or pistenbully?

These day time videos are nice, and that outside view gives a much better idea of the slope etc.thanks for your efforts
The joys of daytime building. Doesn’t work all season but I try to video it while I can!
@@pushnpow I don’t enjoy the inside footage. Put your camera closer to the windshield so we see less of the interior.
@@pushnpow what’s ur fav pb?
does the winch cat have more hp than non winch cat? example 600 level red winch and 600 level red?
No, but a 600 Polar has more horsepower than a standard 600. 600/600W 455hp, 2250nm torque 600 Polar/600W Polar 512hp, 2373nm torque
@@pushnpowthanks💪🏻 and u making great content keep it going
Always enjoy your videos mate, have a sweet euorpean season! I'm a fellow kiwi operator starting my 3rd season free grooming at whistler blackcomb. Your content is what partly inspired me to get into the industry.
Oh nice. How did you manage to get 3 seasons in Canada? When I did my Canada season it was one and done, can’t reapply and can’t get sponsored.
@pushnpow i went through an immigration lawyer who's partners with a "recognized organization" they have they're own working holiday visa pools. Basically pay the fee and get another 2 year visa
How you like the new Bison X?
The more time I spend in one… the less time I want to spend in one.
Finally a 600 :D
Grew up and skied that slope long before snow makers and Pistenbullys. Great to see my childhood slopes.
Is this the Europe's version of Baw Baw or Buller snow season? You are jinxed 🤣🤣🤣
At the rate the season is going I think I am too.
Turbo noise is so much louder and clearer than the one in sweden. Maybe camera?
Maybe, or the mic I use now…
Glad to see you back in a 600😊
A Norwegian ski resort is the last place I expected to see a tractor with R1 tires. Even if it's chained up.
Thank you for explaining the snow making it and why you all do it
Cool video🤩👍. Its look like you driving a Cat D11😜👍
Awesome. What camera did you use? I assume it tracked the cat?
You need to roll the top of your blade back towards you if you want to carry more snow. Stop tilting your blade forward like you do when you are filling low areas on a run.
How much snow did you get over this last week? A bit further south of you we got 60-70cm in places
Pleas make pov Videos back 🙏🏻😍
They used to get too many complaints so I stopped making them.
safety meeting incoming!
Got some good tunes.
Love your videos. Miss driving the cats…. Worked at Lake Louise from 95-2000, last year there groomed night shifts. Your weather in the video reminds me of snowmaking at Whakapapa, spent a a season there on an exchange of staff. Was -6C and they were ecstatic, lol. At Louise they don’t even turn the guns on until -10. Had a blast working on the de-icing crew while there!
Makes me miss grooming!
Much appreciated showing us this wonderful footage! Amazing scenes and wonderful music of course!!!! Like & Subscribed 👍 💙💙💙
Nice video! I love the turbo whistle sound and also the moaning of the idraulic pumps, they're amazing. The PB600 is definitely one of my favorite machines ever.
Nice stuff. I was thinking how nice it is to drive into work at that time and then thought that this might not be in the morning. 😆. So what time was the sun rising?
Probably 9 or 10am I think, it was in November so the days were starting to get shorter…
Back in the best machine
How do you like the new Prinoth controls?
They’re better than the old controls 🤷🏻♂️
Zuviele Taster u Elektronik, die kaputt geht
They are very reliable considering they work in extreme weather 12-15 hours a night. Had 3 long seasons without any issues.
here's hoping for a good season of snow
Love the intro, looking forward to the season.
Looks like so much fun could you or someone please explain how all the snow making works over a video
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snowmaking
Some friendly advice. I watch a lot of large tractor snow plowing videos of the Swiss Alps and Austria. They all mount the camera high in the center windshield so you can see the plow and the road in front. Nothing else. Watching you bubble around in the cab is distracting
cool, so cool
LOVE VIDS LIKE THIS
Allways great fun when u spin up some nice piles behind the tracks and back over them a little too fast.. Figured that out when I was new. Allso we run x-tracks on our 600. (Cross country skiing) So spinning the tracks is a pretty common occurance :p
These day time videos are nice, actually see what your up to , cheers
This is what I was up to last night. Riding shotgun in a 600 polar moving around polecat's and digging out Borax sleds. It so much fun!
Man made snow can be the worst stuff to push out. But nothing beats being in a cat!! I miss those days thanks for bringing back the memories.
Nice to see you back in some snow!!
Welcome back to the North! Nice intro scene. Does Prinoth use the same SnowSat as PB? Shame the screen is so small, you can't make out much of it in the video.
No it’s a Leica GPS system in the machines here, the same as what I used in Sweden. It does the job, similar but different.
Nice to see you come to my home country to do some winter work. The company i work for has delivered 12-15 cabins up to Norefjell in the last year or so.
Hell yes!!!
So glad I just came came across your channel again! Even though I was subscribed the algorithm didn't show me you had posted. Greetings from Michigan, we are in mad push to get all of our runs open for Christmas break.
