@@asmarkpro hey, thanks for the reply, i did the replacement successfully and the macbook does start now. But for some reason the mouse and keyboard are unresponsive. What could possibly be the reason? Could it be because the macbook wasnt in use for atleast like 6 months and then the battery was replaced?

Now whenever the macbook is powered on, The screen shows a faded black n white mouse and then trackpad alternatively, and the cursor is on the top left corner. The only thing i could do is power the device off and nothing else.

If you use the charger for extended periods, please discharge the battery twice a week (i.e., use the MacBook until the battery level drops to about 20%). 5. If you won’t be using the MacBook for an extended period, please shut down the computer with at least 50% battery capacity remaining. 6.
