No. Changes from last year is that battery was replaced for new one and this year in winter the sound is not so common. I didt even have any concern about this because car started normaly and drive normaly, just the sound was annoying to me. With bad battery car struggle to start and the noise was more common to happened.

@@igoris992 I assume this coming form the electric starter, the bendix can't slide smootly back in normal position beacuse in cold weather the grease is more stiffer. I'll try it out and let you know.

My car is doing the same exact thing, I drive a 08 Corolla I recently got my starter replaced before winter time, we had a warm week and then it got cold again and the noise began, I suspect is the starter since the noice goes away once the car is warm

It drain all the oil. I made several oil vhanges like this and never had a problem. The motor had 60000km+. The delars also change like this they dont have time to use side stand. The mess can be cleaned with brake cleaner 😉 you can change oil like you want with your motor

Yes that true. I think its just waste of time. Next time i will leave the smaller bolt on and just unscrew the whole unit. I ask in dealership mecanic if they do that and he say that they dont unscrew smaller bolt because it doesnt matter

@@igoris992 I also skip this small bolt in the greater majority of cases. Sometimes it is worth opening it to avoid screw stuck and o ring failure.

No i havent sorted. In spring/summer/autumn i dont have this issuie because its not too cold olny in winter. Now this season i will see if problem will still occur first thing i will change battery. Seasm to be sticky starter common problems on toyotas

I think that it is timing chain

Diesel engine has a belt, which must be replaced at the specified intervals. Only the vvti petrol and hybrid engines have timing chain.

@@SanjanaRanasingha I had this problem too, doing an oil change right now, hence watching the video. Leave your engine running until its nice and hot, maybe go for a 15 minute ride. Get some paper, fold it over the oil cap to avoid scratches, then yes, gently use a set of pliars. Get them as close to the base as possible and ge tly start applying torque on it to try to lever it open. I was worried about it breaking too, if you take your time it can be done
