what cymbal technique is 9:22 called? i want it for my piece
Impressive, thank you for this sharing.
Garbage!
I’ve always wanted to hear these songs mashed up! You guys are so talented! Thank you for making what I imagined a reality!
I cant even do that, youve got some skills my guy
What a very strange video! I was expecting to see exciting xylophone and glockenspiel passages - maybe from a 'head-cam' ! I'm sure Stravinsky would have been fascinated though!
Lol I was playing in an orchestra. Formal performance doesn’t always allow for strapping a camera to my head. Glad you enjoyed it
@@FranksPercussion MANY thanks for your reply! I'm thrilled! I actually thought the performance was only a few percussionists in someone's living room! (Sorry!) By the way, 'Firebird' is my second favourite work by Stravinski! And I'm still honoured to have met Benjamin Britten who met Igor Stravinski! I'm an organist and played most of Bach's Organ works over the years. But I'd give my right-arm (maybe not!) to be able to play a drum-kit, vibraphone and Tam-Tam!! Thanks again!
Loving this
this piece is so energetic and lively. I love its influence in the mouvement frenetique concert band piece
0:44 0:52 1:00 1:08 2:30 17:25
I love so much this piece… that percussion instrumentalisation is outstanding.
where did you get the horns ?
not sure I like the revised version. but great performance
Amazing job!
Thank you, Felix!
Idk what’s the name of that song but it has that cartoon feel of it. But it sounds awesome!!
Idk what’s the name of that song but it has that cartoon feel of it like Walt Disney. But it sounds awesome!!
American In Paris by George Gershwin! It’s a musical but it does sound like Disney a bit! :)
The piano try hard ruined the song, the cymbal player knew it too late. GREAT song otherwise. I'm a heavy percussionist 15yrs
We all thought the Pianist was awesome and made the piece better by improvising! Really cool that your'e a heavy percussionist 15yrs tho...
improve bad.... idk, un-unique good?
Thank you timpani for playing this correctly!
Thanks for watching!
Can we get a mimicking politicians 2020?
lol yeah
I've only done this in rehearsals. I can't believe you guys made a selfie video in a concert
As a singer who loves drums, thanks for this video! You have a great sound, and I found myself singing along with your parts
Thank you ! This is Etude #3 from "Snare System 1" book, published by A. Leduc - Paris
What drum is that?
The best version I have seen
Awesome performance though. I can't wait to play this piece myself someday
Thank you so much!
yee
La velocità è nulla senza controllo. Troppo veloce e troppe note svizzere.
Get a life
very nicely nicely done
It's in the Carroll book.Volume II.
Agreed! At the time, I was playing the grace notes like that on purpose- as though I was making an, "artistic decision". HA, now I know there is no such thing as an artistic decision in an orchestral audition!
true talent. keep it up
you have no idea what your on about
Correction: Valse and Furioso
@EHSPianoMan its sounds like soft rubber tips
Well played, but how you do it with a non traditional grip I don't know!! Really well played though!
What mallets are you using?
i played this song in 8th grade... i like seeing the different interpertations like this! i did a more steady tempo with rising and falling dynamics. i got a superior, maybe they were just cutting me some slack because this is such a difficult piece, because you definitley did better than i did on the furioso part :)
@halibuzsi Thank you!
where can i get this sheet music?
This is great! I'm currently working on the Courante Double for solo Transit Deisel.
This is pretty good!
Beautiful! Thanks for posting! :o)
@ezcheese1 Why must you be so negative? Instead of putting him down and making yourself sound like a d-bag, why don't you just tell him what he needs to make better?
@MrJspowers2 Thank you for the very valid comment! I heard a very similar remark about the grace notes (only it directed at the strings) from our orchestra director last semester. Before then, I was in agreement with a grad student about this interpretation. We were both a little dumbfounded to hear the conductor say, "...as short as you can possibly play a grace note..."
nice job, i would go listen to different recordings and make sure the grace note length matches what's going on in the orchestra
Wow came across this and didn't realize I commented before. Very nicely done btw!
k Im not looking at the part but this sounded spectacular. From 0:45 on is close to the best ive heard.
Is this transcription common? (i.e. can I buy it easily?) Thanks.
The part in the begginning of the video....in the part its written as 6 64th notes taking up the space of 1 8th note? What am I seeing incorrectly here? Thanks.
