Bayou Drive - Some KLX 300 Zen after the Storm

After surviving hurricanes Helene and Milton in the past two weeks, I was ready for a nice, Zen Sunday ride on my 2023 Kawasaki KLX 300.
Bayou Drive in Hernando County, Florida delivered.
It's a short narrow road that runs through the saltwater marsh near Bayport and Pine Island. The area is known for abundant wildlife, fishing, paddling, photography and an occasional dual sport motorcycle.
I'm ready to destress. Let's go.

Take a look at this brief video on Nelson Rigg Trails End Saddlebags that I installed on my Kawasaki KLX 300 (in 2023). Now that I've had them on for over a year, they still look good and work great. They are a nice size for overnight camping trips on smaller dual sport motorcycles.

Spent a nice Saturday morning in July going for a trail ride at Citrus Wildlife Management Area (WMA) near Inverness, Florida. Yes, it was hot but definitely worth it! It was a nice run up Brittle Road and the KLX 300 did great navigating Trails 13, 16, 26, and 28. Come along for a trail ride!

This past Saturday morning felt a few degrees cooler so I was stroked to hop on my KLX 300 and go for a nice mixed surface ride. I planned to go from Hudson, Florida through Aripeka, Hernando Beach, Weeki Wachee, Spring Hill and to Citrus Wildlife Management Area (WMA) and back. It's about 90 miles in total.
