Last of Crutching & More Header Reel Repairs
Finally the last of crutching, finished on the crossbred lambs which were a little easier than the merinos.
Attempted to repair the header front for the 9600, similar to the one in my last video, however came across a snag and had to change up the plan for that. An update on how the hay is progressing to drying out too.
Thanks for watching, give us a like & a comment and subscribe to our channel.

Silo Lift & More Spraying
Просмотров 679Месяц назад
Here we are completing a few odd welding jobs in the workshop on the cold mornings - plenty of frosts that are putting the chemical out slower than planned. Working on lifting some old Ackland silos that were on the property when we purchased it. They have been there for some time and need to attention before one day they get worse. Work in progress this job. And again, more spraying between th...

Well it’s been a hot minute since our last video! Throw in the mix of the Olympics and the editors (my wife) work became a little crazy, we are here finally catching up on the backlog of videos. Lots of spraying in this video, a little bit of sheep work and some welding. There was a bit of rain at the end of July but here we are now mid August and it’s very dry. Hopefully rain will be falling v...

In an area called the Wimmera, should be able to google it 👍 hope the season is treating you well over that side of the planet it has been a dry winter and spring here. So hope you guys a getting rain at the rite times 👍
what calibre rifle you runnin there? Crops look pretty good considering the year
Thanks for the message. Yeah crops are hanging on considering the year so far. I run a .223 most of the time but I am definitely no pro shooter 😂
How do you get away with the radio blaring in the background. Doesn't you tube get a bit anal with that stuff. It is a bit annoying when yr talking. Apart from that always enjoy yr video,s. We used to farm at Moama & I had a 753 clark bobcat in Geelong contracting for 8 yrs. I had four clarks all up & the 753 was definitely the best. Ide love another one now.
Dont worry about the swearing mate i love it.
Hey I hear you about the truck wash, the best I have come across and what we use now is Active Diamond Foam by Chiefs Australia. You can get it online, I think a company called Water Blast sells it. It is not meant for polished aluminum but we still use it on our trucks. Hope this Helps.
Sounds good I’ll look into it for sure thanks for watching and the comment appreciate it 👍 hope all is well were your are cheers
Cheers for the videos. In a old video you did you said you had a old White tractor i drove one in the late 80s in wa .cheers from nz
The old white is on a 3pl blade at the moment for cleaning drains to dams, it’s abit of a spare tractor But I will have it on an auger at harvest. Thanks for the comment and watching. Hope all is well in NZ and you are getting some rain and a good season. Cheers Stuart
Nice work Stu 🙂
Thanks for watching 👍 and appreciate the feed back
You are a clever engineer young man. I wonder if those genes came from your dad, grandad or great gd?
Thanks for the comment👍 l definitely have my rough days now and then too.. I learnt a lot in mining where I did my trade but I did have a grandfather who was a blacksmith
We've dispatched about 80-100 roos this year usually don't worry about them much
We are very much the same I have never seen them this bad at home. Hope you are getting on top on them and got some rain 👍👍
Gday, well tractor is still ticking and apparently we have to pull the trans out 🙄. With the gear in the workshop, I really as you know have the basics but I make do. I did my trade in the mines and didn’t have much there, gas grinder and a welder haha . Thanks for the comment and I will do a video of the welders ect I run soon 👍👍
Hey, love your video's, did you fix your problem with the john Deere with the ticking. Love the workshop videos especially how you don't have all the flash equipment. it would be great for a workshop tour and the tools and welders you use. Keep up the great work.
Gday Peter. I’d say the issue with the feet would be the last few wet seasons we have had plus they are all culls and mainly older sheep. But It could be a little genetics as well but I am pretty careful on the rams I choose.. hope you got some rain.. as we are chasing a bit at home👍 thanks for the comment
“Spry gun ran like absolute shit” friggin gold!
Rupert knocks over the camera, great stuff!
Good girls 🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑

What micron range do you get with your wool?
Usually around 19 micron.
Like your dog
I found it funny that every where I sped up to the first thing I heard was "uhhh".
Thanks Stu - another entertaining video as usual and if Pro Hart was still alive, I don't think he feel threatened as a painter... 🙂
We’re is your farm located
We are located near Marnoo vic. Thanks for watching and the comment 👍
Great video mate
Thanks for watching 👍👍
Hi guys You didn’t do the sheep work correctly There wasn’t any yelling, screaming and swearing Good job
It must of been on mute or it got cut out of the video haha👍 don’t worry there’s plenty of colourful language when working with sheep…thanks for watching 👍
Thank Stu - another entertaining episode. Love ya work :-) Don't worry about the leaks - they stop the rust. Just keep topping her up 🙂 Don't worry mate, it's drying out everywhere across Western Vic... hope we get a drop soon...

Old boy knows ya aha, I remember taking the windrower to cut hay for you and yous were going to golf I'm pretty sure aha
You wouldn't get contractors in to do ya hay cutting would ya? You just look so familiar 😂
We do from Rupanyup way most of the time . We don’t do a whole lot of hay just enough for our sheep 👍
We had the exact thing happen. Got to the end of our canola and we’re two bags shy
Love the video mate, keep at it! Have you had much rain where you’re at so far?
Thanks mate! We finally had a little bit of rain Friday night, 4mls

Another great video mate. Beautiful country where you are. How many acres are you farming?
We farm around 2000 acres.. crop about 900 then graze/pasture the rest for around 800 breeding ewes. Thanks for the comment 👍
Fixing auger flites, now thats an never ending job...😅
Im gonna take a guess and say thats an old vicon v-rake..😅
Hi mate.. just subscribed..😊Awesome to come across another Aussie RUclips farmer.... Im up in the NT... Stay safe..
love the old Case 9300's . great to see it still doing the hard yards
Thanks for the comment👍 I wouldn’t doubt it will be getting tired. She’s done a bit of work the old girl but I will definitely keep that in mind. It’s parked up at the moment waiting on a new hydraulic charge pump that let go Saturday
When you first turned the key on your truck there was a lul before it spun quicker..id be puttung a new starter motor on it by that sound...sounds like its getting tight...but it always makes us think its batteries, ive replaced most starters here on my older tractors 40series jd, acco truck, chamberlains an amazed at how quick they spin now an just fire right up.
In true farming spirit, you'll never know if you never have a go... 🙂
Whens the merch coming out Stu!!
You’ll be first to know Jordy!
good vid keep them coming. I replace my trailer bearings about the same time as you
Thanks for the comment and watch. Yeah that old trailer only gets fixed when it falls apart 😂
