Great stuff Gil. Makes understanding the process easy to understand. You have to get uncomfortable in order to progress with clay target shooting.

Gil, I am right handed but have left eye dominance. I never shot any gun until December 2022. My coach then taught me to shoot left handed. Nonetheless, I have much more trouble on right to left crossers and loopers than left to right crossers and loopers. On the right to left targets I still have to look across the barrel. How does that fit with what you've said? I practice the three bullet drill every day. Maybe I just have to hold that longer without looking at the end of the barrel. And I took your clinic last winter in Nokomis, FL. Simply put, it was fantastic.

Gil, really interesting video. I am a clay shooter in the uk having taken up the sport 2 years ago. Having now progressed to the 75% score level and beginning (only recently) to not try to 'rifle' my shots I have noticed your videos suddenly making a great deal of sense. This video adds another layer to that knowledge and helps embed the picture you are describing. My coach has referred me to your videos and just recently i have begun to shoot gun down and move and mount to the target. This is leading to step change in on the score card with me hitting several 10 out 10's on stands while my buddies hit 6 - 8's. Now working on long far, fast crossers and loopers, where I am less consistent. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

I've got the three bullet drill permanently set up on the wife's buffet with three coffee cups. I don't think she's even noticed it! Been hitting it every AM for 5 minutes/day.

I love this strategy but curious how you would apply this birds that rising, falling, or going away (trap style shots)? Is it as simple as doing the same drill in a vertical arrangement or different approach?

Great drill I will be using it regularly. One thing that has not been addressed in any of your vids I have viewed is the fact that you need to shoot with both eyes open.
