3D Printed Drone Boat With PixHawk Flavored Sprinkles On Top
Sponsored by PCBWay.
When I was young, me and my dad used to go out sailing together. This project channels my childhood into a classic aka: Matchstic project - an autonomous drone boat. Its 3D printed, using my usual PixHawk and Raspberry Pi combo for control.
Its prototype number 1 of my attempt at the microtransat, an international competion to send an autonomous or unmanned vessel across the Atlantic Ocean. Gotta set those ambitions high, huh!

Building a Budget-Friendly 3D Printer Enclosure from Scratch
Просмотров 70 тыс.Год назад
3D Printer enclosures are too expensive, so I built one from scratch! My Prusa MINI was struggling with ABS print warping on the print bed, even at 100C. The issue? I didn't have an enclosure to keep warmer air around layers towards the top of prints. Looking online I found that off-the-shelf solutions were too expensive for my budget, so I built this one from pine and 2mm acrylic sheets. 🌐 Lin...

From MRI to 3D Print: My brain in plastic
Просмотров 2,3 тыс.2 года назад
To kick-off 2022, I 3D printed my own brain from MRI data, on the Prusa Mini ! A couple of years ago, I had the oppurtunity to be a part of a neuroscience study, which involved taking a fMRI scan and structural scan of my brain. Through a series of unrelated events, I ended up with a copy of my scan data, which has been sat on my shelf since then... With some usage of FreeSurfer and MeshLab, I ...
Motion controlled drone hack - my favourite build of 2021
Просмотров 3,6 тыс.2 года назад
Imagine how futuristic it feels to control something just by reaching out, and gently moving your hand in the air. No wires. No magic. In this drone hack, I do exactly that. I spent a full month reverse engineering the protocol used to control a small drone, to send it control signals derived from the motion of my hand. This is my favourite project to date! 00:00 - Intro 01:06 - Research 04:09 ...

I was counting on that satisfying film peel😂
im using a raspberry pico to control a amd FX fan (the boxy one) and works amazingly! while i dont have a potentiometer, i use serial to control. i may also make my computer read my location's ambient, send to pico, to pico control the fan accordingly.
This channel is so underrated
if any of you guys wanna make the 3D bridging better than you should add a fan and a hole to blow (some) warm air out! not sure tho i think i heard it somewhere!
I'm so yoinking this design

Thanks for the indepth video. BTW: what is the gizmo that the filament spools sits on at 0:06??
Anyone know where I can find this cable for sale? I don't have the time to cut and solder a couple cables.
It seems the PDF and STL files are gone. Any chance you could upload them somewhere or email them to me? It would be greatly appreciated.
Cool build mate. Your enclosure might be too big for the printer bed to heat up, so making it a bit smaller might improve your ABS prints. A chamber heater would fix it though. Thanks for the video! P.S Please trim and clean your nails,
can i connect to the usb port rather than the gpios of jetson nano
Matchstic, I can't thank you enough for this incredible video! I’ve been researching computer vision for a poultry farm project in Ghana, and coming across your explanation of YOLO v4 has been an absolute game-changer. The way you broke down the technology was both inspiring and eye-opening. I’m now integrating it into our farm’s operations, and it's completely shifted my perspective on what’s possible with AI and machine learning. You've sparked ideas that I can’t wait to implement, and I’m even planning a RUclips series to document the journey. Your content is genuinely impacting lives and businesses-keep up the amazing work!
Very cool!
Raw dogging ABS is crazy
how the hell is ACRILIC, METAL, PRINTED PLASTIC, AND DEFLORESTATION WOOD BUDGET FRIENDLY?
Hi Mark, thanks for the video. Can you try to connect Raspberry PI to SpeedyBee or other cheap fly controllers?
hello, very nice project! May I ask what firmware are you using? Is it ArduPilot or PX4?
Arduino! Submarine to the trenches YAAAAAR!!!
I wonder if my hailo 8;could help do something AWESOME!?
Hello, great project, I was wondering if you 3d printed the leg attachment for the Jetson case? I looked at your 3d files and couldn't find them there, would you possibly still have those files? Thank you so much!
Hey, I have an AI model running on raspberry pi 0 2w, and the flight controller I have is the same as pixhawk 2.4.8. What are the benefits if I connect the raspberry pi to pixhawk ? I have seen how to connect, but what I fail to understand is, in my use case scenario will it be beneficial ?
How do you power them up when flying with drone? I am having voltage issues
Is this program ok? const int pwmPin = 9; void setup() { pinMode(pwmPin, OUTPUT); } void loop() { analogWrite(pwmPin, 255); // 255 es el valor máximo para el PWM (100%) while (true) { } }
while(true) {} looks suspect to looop forever.
OMG , what University you studied in that left you clueless regarding RPI hardware specs....
What are you using on the RPI? Octoprint? Or just the camera?
You should really put your hair up when working with a drill
Id recommend keeping the battery out of the hot area because it will break faster because its working harder in the heat but this is amazing keep up the work.
Can you program it to follow strangers? For Halloween
definitely earned a sub! Thank you for this video!
Very very good. I want to do this. I want to repeat your steps and mistakes and fixes until it works. I have not watched all of your relevant videos (for this drone project) from start to finish. I am unclear how the Pixhawk and the Jetson Nano communicate. Or maybe they don't send messages to each other. Why should they? I want to start at the same starting point you did and go step by step. Fantastic! I've heard the Jetson Orin is much faster than the Jetson Nano. But I think you chose the Oak D-Lite to speed up the image processing. Yes?
I watched the whole video series. So inspiring
Great project BRO!!!
Genial! Muito bem feito, parabéns 👏❤️
I lost it at 11:55 😆
Hello Sir, your videos are very useful. Thank you very much I am newbie to Drone building DIY. I have Pixhawk 2.4.8 and wanted to use it with 4-in-1 ESC along with Raspberry PI 4 or 5. I watched all the videos out there on this scenario and all of them uses individual ESC's for each motors. I came across encoder to use but surely not understand it. I watched this video about connecting Raspberry PI to Pixhawk so I think I am okay there but not connecting 4-in-1 ESC to Pixhawk. Would you be able to suggest how I can get 4-in-1 ESC connected to Pixhawk? Or if you could do a video on it, would be awesome. Thank you so much for all your help in advance sir.
How did you provide power to Nvidia Jetson Nano from the battery?
Hello, very nice video, I have one question though. I have some real trouble calibrating my esc's, how did you do that? I have exactly the same as you, though my RC is using elrs. How did you calibrate your esc?
Libxslt is not installing
Great job!
Heyy I am also working on a similar project can you suggest which camera would be good to use with rpi4 for object detection tasks from a drone?
How do you have only 5000 Subs! The quality is too good
For those looking into a 3d printed enclosure. An Ender 3 enclosure is like $40 on Amazon.
❤
Supplies needed: wood, screws, more screws, a broken drone
Underrated
Perfect work! Please continue, you're helping a lot people with these videos!
I'd like to watch the rest, but your "music" is too annoying.
Great work! What image did you boot your Nano from? I used the official one from Nvidia but it seems very outdated.
There are some free programs that do the same thing, no need to wait hours for this one to install.
Sir can i use this same code for raspberry pi 5
jetson says permission denied on THS1 port error 13
