CGI special effects were just getting started at the consumer level in 2009. This is a first try at a demo reel using time-lapse and 3D models. Then, in 2023, AI came into the picture, and most programs and effects were replaced.

A critical part of a Sci-fi novel is the alien. What they look like and what they are doing. Color, muscular build, height, skin, eyes, neck, hands, and feet are all part of the image brainstorming process that can then be used to describe the alien selected for the novel. The problem is that we got carried away and created way too many aliens, somewhat of a night on bald mountain.

When we write a sci-fi novel, we need to do a lot of brainstorming, whether it be about space travel, time travel, aliens, planets, or technology. The AI text-to-image tool helps us create a variety of images that can extend the brainstorm or take us in a new direction we had not considered before.
