Have read the comments and found some good tips. - Put filter bags into one another so there is only one drain process instead of 3 separate. The courser ones on inside and finer ones on the outside. - Mix in diesel first to make mixture thinner so it drains faster. - Don't poke holes in your container, get one with a tap. -

Somebody correct me if I m wrong but I believe you are wasting your time and energy filtering to 1 micron. The only danger to your injection pump is ABRASIVE impurities (dust rom the ground). Any organic shit from the fryier that can be stopped by the fuel filter on your vehicle is no worries. To be sure, you dont want your filters to clog up in the middle of a motorway so a quick filetrering at 5 mic will do plus a few coils around the exhaust manifold. I have made and run on my biodiesel since 1999 and I never fitered anything. Never run on straight WVO but now with the methanol at 500Au$ the drum, I am thinking of runningf on WVO mixed with 20% diesel and 10% petrol. Anyhow thanks for this great vidéo.

Great video footage. Shame about the ridiculous music track. Would have been better with some commentary. I loaded chieftain many times onto antars and it was a terrifying experience for a young tankie. Those ramps were really steep and you came down with a terrific bang and stood on the brake with all your strength. And leave the damn steering levers along if you valued your life. Happy days.

How do I check with my manufacturer m of my Renault kangoo is safe to use with get oil do I just ring up and say I want to check if my engine can run on veg oil? Cheers mate

How are you supposed to find out if your engines safe to run on it .. I’m sure the manufacturers don’t put in the manual that it’s safe to run on cooking oil

Brilliant mate. It is very evocative to see what GB was doing to keep the USSR at bay on the ground. At the time I was part of the design team creating helicopters to reinforce the naval anti submarine capability.

Fabulous film and a little ironic, I have stumbled across this the on 25th February 2022, the day after Putin sent troops to invade Ukraine. Is Western Europe about to enter another Cold War era, or worse !! I was an infantry soldier during BAOR times early 80s a different world, and not one Europe should go back to.

Why not just turn it into 100% biodiesel? so it wouldn't cost you anything. A bit for the sodium hydroxide and methanol. The whole point is to stop using finite resources, you still use 50% diesel.

nahhh.. you need some *petrol* in there too; for that very small qty, 1 to 2 cups of petrol; diesel DOES NOT mix with diesel, careful... the petrol(or querosene,expensive...) acts as a solvent and fluidifies the misture; a few drops of detergent (not the dish washing kind,it has salt in it as a thickner,use automotive) acts as a surfactant and helps too; veg. oil is TOO THICK,by itself (and since it does not mix with the diesel, you'll end up with"lumps" of veg. oil in your pump and injectors: you WILL feel that when it happens,,and smell it too; NOT GOOD!!! So,you also need gas(us readers),petrol(uk) or gasoline....

I don't wait a second, and no added regular diesel, just filter, and directly in the tank, and it drives perfect!!! Toyota Land Cruiser 2001, the best 4x4 in history. the filter is clean, the tank in clean, it burns everything anyways, I'm starting to think that it will run even if I'll pee in the tank... I also didn't convert anything, no second tank, no second filter in the car, and it even runs smoothly, better than pump diesel.
