I opened the garage door and noticed it had recently rained, so I check the radar and there is a huge storm out west heading my way. Having not gone for a couple of weeks I decided to go anyways. Later on, we get a notification a storm is approaching from the southeast and decided to run. Fishing between the storms was awesome!

The water level has been extremely low for about 3 weeks now. Moon had been full. The dog days of hot August have been on us. The fish bite but not as aggressively under these conditions. When I was out riding down the river in my boat taking some photography shots. I came across these ducks. I told my buddy that I was surprised that they did not fly. He said those are the ducks you see in the park all the time and they are used to people. I take my pictures in the raw and use a PC to process them. What I found was the real reason they did not fly.

Well, I was out getting content for Arroyo River Rat V91. I noticed the birds who usually leave in the spring are returning to their winter playground. I also noticed all the birds have different calls. And they all have a special song to greet the sun as it rises up in the dawn. The 1st part of each new bird is the Morning Dawn call. Enjoy!

@@arroyoriverratI’m familiar with that one. The Ebony unit on Rangerviile is planted with lots of sunflower this season.

Great question! Wind and water current have an effect on that number. When I am looking for fish I average 2 mph, when I find the fish, I slow down and sometimes anchor lock.

Good question I think it is Scottish. I use adobe stock to get my music. Try to get new stuff all the time.
Your line didn’t break, the knott failed, you can always tell when the knott fails, you get a twisty at the end of the line.

@juanvega8458 anyone can fish there but I was told you can only fish it if you access through the water. You can not fish from the bank of the WMA. Kayak or Airboat would be needed to fish there.

Alligators are not native to this area. I grew up all over Cameron County and its Resaca's fishing back in the 50's and my Dad's presence going back to the 30's. No Alligators were to be found. Thus they were released from specimens received from the Zoo in Brownsville into the wild.
I am a bit older than you. Alligators were actually endangered species here in the 50s,60s, and 70s. I believe you when say you did not see them back then. Their numbers have greatly rebounded over the years and we can hunt them once again.

Are you using a different camera other than the GO Pros? If so how d0 you like it compared to the go pro?
Yes I am. I am using a Canon Vixia HF G70. It is great for wildlife videos but won't replace those action cameras for the fishing videos. I like making both types of videos so I am glad I added it to my tools.
