Looked a little better than before shipped of course

Recorded this a week ago and currently going back in for the damn UTI, gonna try a new antibiotic and then sent to urologist. Really annoying having to go back in over and over. Lemmy likes the odd weather and sleeps when it is nice out, he likes fireworks and thunderstorm, think he got dropped on his head a few times 🤣

Agreed the USA team can be physically aggressive with more key NBA players than any other team, but they do play like it's a NBA title game. I seen the first two but haven't watched The Bikeriders yet but looking forward to checking it out. There aren't many I haven't seen, I was offered a job with a notorious Biker Magazine in the early 90's to do articles and photoshoots at the rally's throughout the year including Sturgis, Daytona, rodeo's, etc. I chose a different route but do wonder where it would of went but then I wouldn't of stuck around to meet the wife. Yeah he could be part of the Grateful Dead dancing skeletons.

@@underthecowlofms that's cool about the Biker Magazine. Sounds like it would have been a fun gig. Yeah, that's what I appreciated about the last Olympic basketball was that both teams played like everything was riding on it. Leaving it all on the court. Was exciting.

Slow pacing stories was fine in the past when there were less creators but a person can't afford to follow a few storylines for long boring paces when there are so many great short runs and one-shots out there they want to buy also. It just drives me crazy when they push to make money but don't put out quality stories. Ghostbuster was a well done mid-story. Hope you cool off down there, we had a nice break and now another heatwave is on the way. Take it easy!

Yeah a lot of horror has gone a way I am not into especially murder porn, satanic and ones trying to outdo certain over-absurd things. I was hoping for a better list of Halloween related titles. Always happy to do the previews and enjoy when people check them out. Look forward to seeing the statue, been wanting to pick up my next pvc statue but haven't seen any new ones that pop out at me yet.

Blade might get more interesting now that he is over the mind control storyline, I still want old school Blade style stories again. The new Werewolf by Night has potential I believe if they focus on the characters abilities and stays away from character lifestyle choices.

I didn't find many new items this month, could be good on the pocket book.

I have that Max series with him as a big old Rat on the cover, can't remember if I have all of them but loved the covers. Max comics are always interesting, I grab them whenever I see ones I don't have. I agree that is a good comparison with Earthworm Jim, would be a fun team-up a Rooster and a Worm.

Bummer that issue 3 of Nuke Rooster didn't make it, probably be able to get direct from Jevin. Been really enjoying TMNT BWG, I love fun short stories. I would call it a must have for turtle fans and the tp will be the way to go because there were a lot of nice covers. It is hard to pick up the simpler done comics like Garfield (the Minions no word one I got a little while back too) but I broke down since a lifetime follower but I also get 35% off and 50% off most issue 1 cover A titles. Can't remember if that one is a CCCC club pick. Have a great weekend!

Binky reminds me of a Jughead / Beetle Bailey / Dagwood mixed character. Would love to see a new Madhouse story. I did hear about the Hellboy doc, looking forward to it. I think Anthony still hasn't released the rest of our Hellboy reviews of the Omnibus.

Agreed, I was bummed it was the Monster story that was clipped. Trying to collect the Madhouse comics but many are old and worn but wish they stated that at least. I will still read them.

That's the first I hear of Binky's Buddies too. Madhouse comics will be one of the comics I enjoy finding in long box sales, I have a few types of comics I leave for those sales. Just decided to check Ebay to see what they had and grabbed a few auctions. I have been getting addicted to the live RUclips $1 and $2 live auctions, nicer sitting in the house with central air instead of standing over a box outside wiping the sweat off me constantly and being shoulder to shoulder with others.

@@underthecowlofms I'm pretty sure people can use Zoom for so many minutes per meeting for free (or Zoom use to offer that). I also have the Adobe Scan app on my phone (app is free I think) and if you have that, you could take a picture of the page or pages we're going to read and send it to me by email. I also have plenty of German comics to choose from. (not that you need anymore :)

I will wait till Minions is out on one of my platforms, wife was in the mood for movie popcorn so was gonna get that and watch a flick. Just had my running around done so thought that was a good getaway for a couple hours, oh well stuff happens. It was a wonderful day out there, comfortable out.

Can't go wrong with Steve Martin films, mostly. Stay out of the Sun it is evil! Lemmy has been partying it up lately, good to see his old self coming back now that the dog has been gone. Spiders are our friends, they eat the annoying critters. I keep a few in the corners of my rooms to catch the bugs, they get vacuumed up if their area gets messy but I usually transfer the spider outside first. My favorites are the wooly tiny jumping spiders that hang out in screen windows usually. Good luck on the break check, have a great weekend!

Let's be honest we all wish our significant other was a cartoon character, imagine the flexibility and character morphing and they can't be killed 😂🤣 Color just makes reading better, always bummed lately when I meet a new creator and all their stuff is in black and white to save printing costs when if you add color it may cost more to produce but I would assume it would bring better sales. We be in the 70's next couple days, finally can sit outside and read comics and have a bonfire and enjoy it.

@@underthecowlofms Ha! Yeah, I hear ya about the b/w. I enjoy Matt Smith's medieval type comics, but last night I saw his Barbarian Lord is in b/w, and I was like: "ah, dang."

I'm glad I am not the only one that felt that way about Maxine. The Brother Sister things was a surprise as well, back in my day you had to order this stuff thru the mail or over the counter but this is eyelevel to kids under 10 and they just have to grab and look which it may be drawn imagery but still. Serial killer stuff is at the top for current interest and I like some but my wife is obsessed with it so she crams it down my throat so I look for other things to read 😁😁 Have a great week!

Looks like Donald Thor will be another club pick on the CCCC since we are doing Donald Wolverine also. I noticed that with a lot of facsimile editions that have been coming out, I have the originals of many and not items of value.

Jeph loeb has already confirmed that the artists were asked to be themselves and not emulate Tim sale, stick to the atmosphere and themes of last halloween but in their own style. It's also a tribute to Tim and the finale to the trilogy that was meant to be told with jeph and Tim. I c no issues with this at all. Hope jeph can still tell a mystery type story and some of the artists on board are fantastic.

No probs, I just gotta let other MSers see what I am going thru. Diagnosed 2014 but we can date back issues to childhood, paralyzed in mid 90's should of got the diagnosis but they focused on back and spine since I ran a Mayflower moving company at the time. Calling to set up injections this week, hope I can get in soon. No worries, got to pay for whatever it is I did in my past life. Comics, art and podding are the things that keep me going aside from My Wife😁 I'm not out to get rich either, I just do it all to keep my brain active in a variety of ways to keep the bad cognitive issues away. Surf till that shark takes the leg off, I a lot of things especially motorcycle rides and snow skiing. Even the little things like bar sports, darts, horseshoes, trap league, pool league... It has been a blast having you on CCCC, nice to have more people for all the variety of opinions and comic styles. I listen to a lot of podcasts and I still believe we have a great variety in material we put out unlike some big pods that focus on certain publishers and don't hit up the indies like we do. Later

@@underthecowlofms That's true about CCCC. A lot of Indie attention which is awesome. The big 2 are good too, but I really really like the Indies. Yeah, tons of other fun things to do besides "traditional" sports. I started playing pickle ball every once and a while - easier on the knees and lower back. Motorcycle riding and skiing are a blast too. (I sent Anthony a pinup piece today that's a surprise for an upcoming BIG podcast. Really happy with how it turned out. You probably already heard about what he has in store, so I won't say any more.) Best wishes.

Took a little look into the Cosmo book and it is fun, probably be my outside reader or car book to read when the wife is shopping. Seen all your King Cryptid covers had signatures also, don't think you mentioned it in the video. I can happily say I evaded the PoPo a few times by vehicles and many by feet. I read your Uncanny Valley which was great because I think I put the other copy in the blanks box and would of forgot to read it and I am really glad I did, probably pick up the trade when it comes out.
