Many churches seem more focused on entertainment than on true worship and sound doctrine, turning into places that cater to what pleases the crowd rather than leading people to Christ. But Jesus knows His people, and just as He called you out of those environments, He continues to guide His true followers out of deception and into the truth. Christian rock, like many things, can be a tool for worship or a distraction, depending on how it’s used. What matters is whether our hearts are truly aligned with God and seeking to glorify Him in all that we do. Jesus didn’t call us to pick a style of worship but to worship in spirit and in truth (John 4:24). It’s about authenticity, not showmanship or rigid formalities. We need to get back to the heart of worship-focused on Him, not on the stage or ceremony. 🙏

@@333Faith As retired healthcare chaplain, I participate in a weekly morning bible study (momentarily in the Gospel of John) in a doctor's office led by a surgeon. Except for me, the group is made up of surgeons and physicians. They are regularly attending worship in their own churches. (Various denominations.) We are very open to comparing our lives and worship to the Bible and how we measure up. We occasionally bump into denominational stereo types. Personally, I feel refreshed after the study. The importance I see is of authenticity and openness to each other and mindfulness of God's presence. Sometimes I wish we had an agnostic or an atheist among us. Just this morning some of us had to confess that there is a bit of an agnostic and an atheist in us. No room for judgment and rejection.

But Jesus said that He will build His church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it (Matthew 16:18). Even when things look bleak, God always preserves a faithful remnant who hold fast to His Word and truth. It’s up to us, as believers, to stay rooted in Scripture, stand firm in faith, and seek to bring the church back to its foundation-Jesus Christ.

It's a sad reality that in some places, the focus has shifted away from the true message of the gospel and onto money and material gain. It’s heartbreaking to see churches prioritizing wealth over spiritual growth and integrity. Jesus Himself warned us in Matthew 6:24, “You cannot serve both God and money.” The church’s mission is to spread the good news of Christ, not to chase after worldly wealth. We need to return to preaching repentance, salvation, and walking in faith, not just prosperity. May God help us all refocus on what truly matters. 🙏

@@333Faith, it is an interesting subject, the Holy Spirit took me on the same journey some years ago because satan try to hide God's name to make it easier for him to dceive people. When u look at the Hebrew scriptures u will see there are no names STARTING with yah (only the few times we see Yah as the abbreviation of Yehovah), it is not linguistically correct. That idea comes from Babylonian exile with their pagan gods IA and IAO... U get yah at the end of words / names, thát refer to the abbreviated form of Yehovah. Blessings.
