This pattern has been updated as of March 2023. They included quilt batting for filling the cushions and the sc join as well, no gusset. I think the updated version is much easier to follow. I'm just about to start assembling the foam pieces today. I may post an update on that when I'm done. I just came here to get a more precise understanding with visualization cause that's how my brain works, I don't do so great with just diagrams. I'm scared to cut the foam, I really hope I don't mess it up. I really appreciate all the videos I've seen so far, yarnspirations has one on here now. But no one is showing the foam assembly! Lol.

I absolutely love my clover hooks. However, I find that I reach for my tulip books most of the time. I have a set of the the black and gold ones, and just bought an adorable little set that is composed of my three favorite hooks, eight, nine and 10..……… otherwise known as HINJ hooks. They came in a sweet little pink case. Just right for throwing in my bag. The small sad came in paint.❤❤

Come on girl, it is easy to see that ou have a desire to make something you don't have, for someone you love, and the skills to do it. Do you really need a pattern? You know that the gussets aren't even used in the picture. You can either use them or not, but I don't think you need to depend on a pattern. I really I think you're smart enough to do anything you want without a pattern and figure it out, because you have a big brain and creativity - a lot of people only have one of those working for them. I have only used patterns for sewing projects but when I wanted to recover a couch I just use the old pieces but that gave me an understanding of the pieces that go together and how They are shaped and how they fit together. You see things in your home and closet begin to analyze them by the pieces that fit together then you will be well on your way If you need permission, I, as a impatient learner and doer who it hasn't used a pattern for anything I wanted to crochet or knit ever, grant it. Fly free of patterns and light your creativity on fire!

I think that stitching and crocheting are quite time consuming hobbies and require lots of attention. So don't be hard on yourself for not making so much progress :) we need breaks and distractions to stay motivated!

Thanks for the review! I wanted to like these hooks too. I got two Streamlines on sale and they seemed to squeak and just uncomfortable and weird to hold (my opinion). I couldn’t help myself and got an Odyssey crochet hook to see if it was better since lots of people said it was so smooth to work with, even with the weight. But not to me! It has been snagging and I don’t think it glides as well as my Tulips and Clovers so I don’t get it. I keep trying out the odyssey to see if I need a breaking-it- in period but I’ll probably just return to my tried and true Tulips and clovers! Glad I’m not the only one who isn’t in love with these hooks. I’m upset I paid so much because you’d think with the amount of money you spend that it’d be great for all of us! 🤷🏽‍♀️

Hi thank you for your thoughts on the Tulips, I am waiting to get my Clover crochet hooks. I've been crocheting for nearly 2 years and have just been using my first off brand hooks. So we'll see how much better the Clover will do. I do have a question that plastic grey item behind you on your shelf, what is that?

I made this couch, but a little smaller and I didn't make the bottom because it USED SO MUCH YARN! I used 2 small skeins and one big skein and I still didn't have enough for the cushions or the bottom. I just pulled the edging so it would go under. I would've hit glued it but it stayed alright

I happen to see some at a thrift store so I got the yarn. Then found out where you buy it. Went and bought some other colors. As I started to crochet with my, Susan Bates crochet hook, I think this is one of the hardest yarns to work with. I do not know what you call it but its not twisted enough with each thread so it constantly comes apart and have to rework a stitch. I am almost giving up on this baby blanket but will finish it and never will buy the yarn again. Unfortunate.

And foam is expensive. If they sold a complete KIT with PRECUT FOAM, I'd be first to buy it. Whatever it cost! I'm waiting till that happens!!!

Love this pattern! I'd recommend making it more clear in the written pattern that there are 3 single crochets in the last stitch. It reads as only adding 2 stitches if you were to only use the written pattern.

Im glad you did your review. I have bought quite a bit on clearance. I have the Super wash Merino and the Baby Alpaca. I used several to do a Stephen West shawl. It was okay sometimes a little splitty. Im a new knitter so the price point was okay for me. I haven't blocked it yet so I will see how it feels in the end. Thanks for your review.

I am a Clover gal all the way and I could not crochet with the Furls. It snagged for me and also I don't like a hook without a thumb rest. I'm like you - they are beautiful, but just didn't work out for me.

I have no problem with the yarn. There is a problem when buying any hand die yarn, the colors don't match up well, sometimes you have more of one color and less of the other, but that doesn't bother me much. You have to expect that with hand die yarn. It still makes a beautiful project to work on and have. I myself am making a blanket for someone I know. It's not me 😅, I'm using two VERY different brands and colors for it. I think they work well together. I made a scarf with two different colors of yarns before and I have I say I love that style more. I still have that project and I love it. I'm going to wear it at an important event coming up. I recommend that you do whatever feels comfortable for you. I hope this comment helps you.

I had issues with Furls but I haven’t tried the odyssey yet. I mostly use Clover Amour but recently got into Prym which is quite lovely and actually sometimes feels more smooth than my beloved Clover Amour. Also while looking at Furls I found Ommi and Divit Shilp. These I really loved in resin more than the wood. The streamline furl and wood split my yarn pretty bad but the Ommi didn’t at all.
