I grew up in kent during childhood and loved the area, but everyone says it trash the last 20 years with high crime. That would be to bad with how beautiful it was
We do hear the same thing, we also hear the same of many areas in the Seattle Metropolitan area even in nicer areas of Seattle proper. Unfortunately as we grow so do the crime rates. In regards to Kent, there are some neighborhoods that are really beautiful and safe and we know the city is working to address safety issues.

I was stationed in Washington for 4 years and then have been San Diego but I really want to move back so badly with new orders. The cost of living is almost impossible to live in California

Aww I miss hoodsport. My grandma used to live at the top of the hill with an amazing view of the canal. We visited every 4th of July- walked in the parade and watch the fireworks at night from her deck. Such great memories exploring that area
