I don't like the DJ chark add.. a week ago I would have thought it was great but now we have too many guys and don't get me wrong competition's always great. But, there's no way the Chargers keep seven receivers. Last year is a past heavy team We kept five receivers on opening day and now as a run heavy team we're going in the camp with 10. Obviously McConkey Palmer Johnston and chark (now that we're paying him over 5 million a year) are locks to make the team leaving one spot at most for Cornelius Johnson and Brandon rice. I know they're both long shots. I'm not one of those guys convinced that rice is the second coming of his father, but I would hate to lose one of them to wavers just for one season of DJ shark. And my money's on rice being the odd man out, Johnson will Edge him out because of his blocking and special team value.

An interesting question. Is the issue pocket depth or width? They say C and OG are responsible for creating pocket depth and OT for width. They only took one OT on the draft. Many broken plays last year seemed to be due to a failure of communication of blocking responsabilities after OC Lindsey was injured. But in most pressures, idk if the issue was mostly the responsability of interior or exterior OL.

Great video. I call funk wrestling "snake mating". As I studied it, I really kind of thought it was insane. I still do. A wrestler who, as you stated, is wrestling head up and seeking the dominant position, that is, on top, as so many more advantages. I always told my kids that if you get the knee/ankle on the shot, and they snake mate, don't go along with it. Keep the ankle high, keep their heads on the mat, and punish their heads and guts with your body weight etc. A for the standing flips when you have opponent leg in air, just follow them down hard and crunch them, or lock up the leg and let them injure themselves with their move. I do think wrestling is becoming more dynamic. Your technical points, of course, are spot on.

Scrambling is all about laziness. Never try to out scramble a scrambler, you'll end up on your back. You must beat them with actual moves the whole match: SETUP-MOVE-FINISH. Once they feel they cannot out-scramble you, they will give up.

He doesn't take shots that get him out of position in the first place. He's ready to pull the trigger any instant, but has the experience to know which shots not to take. He's not forcing shots. You can't get your hands on him, if you reach you're done. He clears all ties immediately and usually circles towards an angle and changes levels. and then he circles the other way. and he's still wrestling until he's a step ahead of you positionally and then he's taking the shot.

Agreed. What most people see as "bEtTeR aThLeTiCiSm" in wrestling is really just sloppiness and poor technique. Shooting with your head down may be faster and more powerful, but in addition to what you described it also means that you can't really see what you're doing, you're not in control of your forward momentum, and you're vulnerable to be thrown to your back or unable to actually finish once you get a hold of something. It's the equivalent of a boxer trying to generate power by lunging forward into his punches rather than planting his feet.

u can see jordan burrow shoots with his head down but just the move he does doesn't allow for a scramble most of the clips u showed of college wrestling are singles and low singles also what makes jb so good is his quickness

I wrestle 125 in D3 college and i will say wrestlers lift technique from my school is very sloppy so their true max for things like squat would be lower. Also our team was top 15 in the nation last year so we are not some sucky team that does this it just goes to show that wrestlers max lifts may be slightly exaggerated but they are ofc very very fit 😂
