Yes. On a 1-2ft day I get 36mph. Rougher days, 1-3's, I can comfortably go 15mph. I general go alone and only weigh about 125lb - with others I lose some top end but gain comfort. Getting ready to put a Troll 0 Matic plate for walleye.

I've broke in a few motors now and all run fine. Vary speed every few minutes with-in guidelines. And I use large tanks.

I think the thinking for breaking in under load considers that the prop and gears are moving, and pushing against load, so this helps those components 'settle' under real world conditions. This will maximize the longevity by ensuring even wear on those parts.

All my NH series watches come within Seiko specs but most still need to be regulated. Don't try to adjust the beat error until you get some experience. Go buy the highest rated reading glasses from a dollar store. A timegrapher helps but there are aps for your phone as well. Good luck. @@jims4539 Dude, I visit the Caliber Corner site almost every day looking at movements from Rolex, Omega, Miyota/Citizen, etc. Would it be worth it to take them to get regulated by a watchmaker? The servicing would probably cost more than the watches themselves.

I do own many, many watches. Most are Seiko or watches with Seiko NH movements. Three now have the PT5000. Miyota movements in some. And some lesser Chinese movements, these I bought for the purpose of practice work. My higher end watches still go to the watch shop for service.

Yeah, I know now. Just got another PT5000 that was +38. I think shipping was a bit rough from the outer box. Set the TG at 50, took the rotor and automatic works out and go it to -3SPD. Resetting the LA did make minor changes to the readings - thanks.

It's true, the NH35 is a thicker movement than a Sellita, but i wear it under a sleeve. No problem.
