The first pathfinder character I ever played had a Nosoi familiar, years and years ago. I'm excited for the strange opportunity to play as that familiar, striking out on its own, after its boss has retired.

It sounds like these might be excellent options for a "Day of the Dead"-themed adventure!

I like the Android Ancestry with the exception of them having to breathe air. This makes them closer to Blade Runner type synthetic androids than machine androids since in many a SciFi movie an android is able to traverse the vacuum of space or a toxic atmosphere either to help or harm organic lifeforms. Very surprised they don't even give a feat that gives this ability. A feat for a hour of breathable air is just silly. This very much breaks the immersion of being an artificial lifeform.

I'm either giving these to my players or using them for my next character

I've been keeping an eye on these items. They would make fine twist on your typical "explosive collar" quests

This is amazing and I'd like to design a campaign somewhat around these "boons" and the team racing against the clock to purge them before they succumb, while of course having to deal with other things of importance along the way.

Seems like a really cool setting. I feel like 90% of fantasy settings are just European and it would be really cool to try a more eastern approach for some new experiences. I really hope we get a pathfinder video game set in this region.

Some Tian Xia spells would have been so cool for some Kitsune Bard or Sorcerer builds.

Given that Paizo is moving away from what made it popular, which is dramatic heroic fantasy, I much prefer the PF1 version of Dragons Empire / Tian Xia. Today, Tian Xia is presented to us as a travel brochure, with rowing contests of smiling people and happiness. Full of whimsy and cutsie. Gone are the representations of stern samurai courageously facing the threat of a dragon, or shinobis who are about to fall on unaware adventurers. The target audience now are the Critters and Gen-Z gamers.

I do believe the word Wuxia is pronounced "woo-shah". I'm not an expert on Chinese but I know Japanese and have played enough Hoyoverse games to have heard basically every Chinese syllable pronounced a few times.

Honestly, given that skittermanders fill all the bureaucratic niches that vesks don't want to do, one can argue that it was the skittermanders who conquered the vesk.

Personally I just wish this revision... remaster... whatever you want to call it had a proper name to set it apart and prevent confusion, and that this name was printed clearly on the covers of these books. "2.5 edition" sounds perfectly find to me, but if someone wants to make it a lower decimal, sure, whatever you like. "2.1 edition" still works to set it apart. The rule changes aren't as minor as some have put it, at least to me. Things like ditching alignment are unique and interesting changes to really set it apart with it's own identity even better, but not insignificant. A lot of people are calling this "2E remaster" now, and that's fair enough. That'll work to set it apart, but much like how everyone's now calling the new D&D "2024 edition", it would help a lot better if the related companies just had that distinct name printed on their books. It makes it so much easier for new players to shop for things like this without getting confused and buying the wrong edition thinking they're getting a good deal.

27:30 I would LOVE for you to do that but time is a VERY limited resource! So, if you have the time, go for it! If you don't, that's fine too. This would also encourage people who want more deep dive content to go find the creators that already do this and help grow those channels as well!

2 headed giant has 2 arms? If its considered 2 regulars player, should I approach it with "I only have 1 arm available"? So I can only wear a shield, while the other fusion member can only wear a sword?

Champions taught me how to make characters. Not just something to play but actual characters.

Great topic for a video! A couple reasonable hungers for a mummy would be "wealth" or simply acquiring more loot and treasure to keep in your tomb. Another good fit would be "revenge", with the mummy PC being compelled to curse and chase down some NPC that entered their tomb. Both fit well with typical adventurer backstories, while having a unique flavor.

Oooh. May I ask where the art for that purple skittermander with the gun and grenades came from?
