I said obviously Jacob’s is better just seems like a weird combo now with AJ and Jacob’s. I thought they should’ve kept jones.

I know he played great but 55 mill is a reach this early in his starting QB run. I would’ve let him play out the contract prove he can do it again then pay him

@@DoubleorNothingPod From what I recall and according to the injury logs I've seen, the chiefs were only missing one O-lineman in the Superbowl that played through the playoffs. If they can beat the Bills and Browns like they did but missing Fisher was that critical to how they played against the Bucs, maybe its time for Chiefs fans to admit mahomes isnt the goat after all

@@DualFOV my argument is they pulled the trigger to early I’m not saying the guys gonna be horrible I just think the packers jumped the gun and overpaid because there nervous they’ll lose him. There’s been plenty of QB’s that have gone on great stretches than came back down to reality. Maybe he’ll prove me wrong and be the top 5 guy the media thinks he is I think he’s more of a top 15-17 kinda guy. Like I said maybe it’ll age like the Dak contract and be great for the packers my opinion is he’s too unproven to call top 5 guy.

@@Badsicklnerdbut I don’t hate the pick Kirk has a few good years left and he can sit behind Kirk and learn the offense for a few seasons. Their team is so young too with London Bjian Pitts so when Kirk decides to step away Penix will slide right to a good situation. I don’t think they’ll put Kirk on a short leash I think it’s a bigger gap than a Wilson vs fields situation. It’ll take an entire season of awful play from cousins before they shift to Penix IMO. My guess is cousins will have around 2 full seasons before they move on maybe more with enough playoff success.

Yeah I could see that. I still think it was odd to use the #8 on him when they could have traded back and probably still got Penix.. I do agree though that two years behind cousins, learning the offense, could be a good plan. I do think that in the second year though if cousins struggles-especially like 10 games in, we could see Penix. The price tag is the biggest help for cousins.

I think the organization has had an incredible offseason they’ve shocked me even in the past few days with some of these moves. The trade for JUDON who’s an animal then signing Justin Simmons. They’ve quickly become in 1 offseason a pretty legit contender.
