What I hope to accomplish: • I’d like to create more of the stuff I don’t see out there, particularly around ...
Can you recommend any resources for sci-fi minis?
Is there a source/artist for warhammer paper minis? We kinda want to try it out before deciding to pay for models
I print mine at 50% -75% size. Perfect for playing alone sitting at a desk. They're about 1 inch in height and a half inch wide. The hardest part getting them to layout without paper waste.
You said some people out there would make some paper minis could you direct me to one as long As they're reasonable.
Hey :) Have you tried laminating them after you cut them?
just what I needed. Thanks for making this
can you make also cardboard?
Not really useful since people need to buy specialty stands. May as well just buy the minis. A real paper mini is purely paper and needs nothing extra
Gotta say bruv, this is just massively silly. You can't see why buying 20 litko bases for literally thousands of minis that pack flat in a binder is more economical than buying thousands of actually resin minis that you'd need an entire closet to store?
My girlfriend and me a d thinking about getting into paper terrain for alpha strike. This is exactly the video I've been looking for, thanx.
It's funny. I started playing TTRPGs with no minis. Just theater off the mind. Then I moved to paper minis because they were cheap and I was poor. Then I got into wargames and learned to paint and 3d print minis. I saw paper minis as cheap and inferior. Now I struggle to transport all my minis and terrain so I've come full circle and want to get back to paper minis.
I use a glue stick and double sided tape to hold things together keeps it from sliding around too much
Seen ads for Acidhouse pop up terrain houses. They figured out a pretty good fold flat construction method but you have to buy their manufactured ones not PDF. Great video. Thanks for sharing
Awesome videos man! I am really enjoying the content, cant wait to hear more about collaborative world building and solo gaming.
The other reason to not use buildings with interiors is that it's a lot more fun to have a town where all the buildings are bigger on the inside, you get to cram a lot more buildings into the town so it feels bigger but still have lots of space to do things inside.
You said 2009 for 2019 and 2002 for 2022 for the releases of Ironsworn/Starforged, I had to do some quick googling because I was so confused. Funny little blah.
Just found your channel tonight and love your vids. You’ve inspired me to craft my own minis. Please keep making videos!
Stellar work
Hey guys, what do you do when you want to print a combination of diferent monsters with the same size?
How do you mean? Like, make them the same size? Are you custom building them, or getting the minis from a maker?
Spending hundreds of dollars on plastic figures is beyond... how is this not the norm in tabletop??
I'm waiting for a guide for that "Paper Ship" you got. I'm going to subscribe until I am notified when the video's posted.
good source of art for d&d or pathfinder style games: archives of nethys, especially for their pathfinder 2nd edition. if you go to the bestiary section 7/8 times there will be art of the creature with a nice transparent background
I'm starting to get a table together with some friends to play some ttrpgs and this is a hurdle that has been LOOMING in front of me for a bit. This is a really nice talk on open communication, empathy, and integrity. These are all great tips, I really like the campaign estimates so it's to it's not a completely open-ended sell on "all of the Sundays". And stricter time-boxing on the day of. I previously ran a one-shot that went waaay over time. I really should have gauged it more and talked with my players upfront and during the session. I think I got too attached to it being a ONE-shot. If I tackled the scheduling demon, I think everyone would have had more fun pausing and following up in another session.
Thank you! This was one of the best, most informative videos that I have seen in a long time. I am happy to have stumbled across your page!
Dude exactly what I was looking for thank you great video
I would like to tell you about Kirigami and how to make decent paper trees
Great stuff! Those litko bases look amazing but I cant find anything similar (with the squiggly slot) in my country. Will have to settle for the card holders. If anyone knows of other brands, please let me know!
Loving that you approach this as a regular amateur. Thank you.
Wonderful video! I found that double sided tape works really well as a glue substitute and has much less potential for messes.
Watching through the second of your videos, great stuff! Hoping for more! Subscribed 😁 Found your channel in my feed.
Dude. DUDE! Duuuuude. This is awesome, and really encouraging for me. I just really, really despise 3d minis and everything to do with them. The storage, the logistics, the PAINT! Hate it all. Paper, though? Man, this is the freaking way. Thank you for the detailed instructions.
long live the paper models!!!!
I have been making papercraft buildings for year, when I saw the buildings in the opening sequence I got a big grin, I have made all of those. lol
This was exactly what I was looking for to start silver bayonet. Thank you.
love to see paper minis
I am such a lazy person. Dont You by chance have some ready to print A4 pdfs with kinda a starter army I could just print and cut to skip going one by one from sources and triing to fit them in right size :?) pretty please
One page rules released 2d print and play starter armies.
my dear Paper Jack, please make regular content about paper craft, then i can share in the paper groups.
just wanted to say a big thank you. I was stressing out trying to make this fancy terrain for dnd. Messing around with XPS foam and all these other crafts. Being able to just hit print and cut some stuff out has been so freeing. I no longer have to dread painting all these terrain bits and can focus on my cool minis. Amazing channel i will subscribe and follow your website !
Any thoughts on Trophy now? I love the gauntlet podcast and am considering grabbing one of the books to support Jason. Dark may be the best fit due to its “one shot nature”. I have a lot of other games that fit the shorter campaign length (Stonetop, BiTD, etc) and forever campaign (ACKS, pathfinder).
Enjoying your videos sir.
this is all brilliant thanks for sharing :)
wow!! such a high quality video! insta subbed. plus: are you voice actor? thanks for your content!!
Keep up the good work. I hit the like and subscribe buttons.
You can toss from HF not only front &back but also side and top views into a collab program to make a six sided paper dice. Thats if you want more of a dimension.
What a great video! I've been looking to get into terrain building for D&D and this seems very accessible. I've refused to buy layouts until now, but think tbf it does work way better like this probably 😂
Love your videos! Really informative for GMing and it’s really fun to watch. Hope you keep them coming!
Amazing! I'm in love with paper minis and terrain. I like this ship <3
I personally think a nice glossy cardstock makes the colors soooo much more vivid and vibrant
Love this guy's voice and commentary. Could literally listen to him talking about dirt. As it turns out I was interested in learning about paper craft as a first time GM. Great video can't wait to see what else he comes up with.
great video. I loved the teaching style and the informal atmosphere. I hope you continue producing about paper minis and terrain. there is a world of possibilities in DIY and being less dependent on big companies and such. explore the more creative side and allow ourselves to create our hobby. let's go let's go.
Keep making these! I love this channel and it’s helping me run a game in my tiny apartment. 😂
