really nice and convenient, all airports should be like this, unlike a few that require transit visa even when I am taking an international connecting flight.
Hii...I am traveling from India to Newcastle, UK and I have a transfer time of only 0:55 minutes. Will this time will be sufficient enough for the transfer?
I am arriving from lisbon and then have 55 min for my flight to San Francisco. Will I have enough time to connect? Do I have to go through passport control again?
@@ejrvc5277 it was not easy, but I made it. I hooked up with a couple heading to same flight. We had to ask a flight counter what our gate was. Then we got to customs. What aaved us was the short transfer line. Look for that as soon as you get to passport control. Then we just walked really fast and made it. Good luck!!!
Fifty minutes may be doable -but there is assumption of on time arrival. I try to book at least two hours between flights for that extra peace of mind.

Our (jan10/19) Calgary flight is scheduled to land in Amsterdam at 08:35 and our Rome connection leaves at 09:45 . Is there anough time to make the connection and do we have to go through customs? Seems like the connecting gate is a considerable distance.
After baggage claim to re-check in again for next flight, I think this is called 'Self-Transfer'. Do I need transit visa ? With 'Self-Transfer' normally flights are cheaper. In other case when I don't need to baggage claim and recheck in. Airline will handle all kind of stuff and I will claim my baggage at destination. I know in that case I don't transit visa.
Hello, do you think that 1 1/2 hours is enough for a transfer? Cape Town/ Schiphol/ Edinburgh...? It seems too rushed for me and I'm worried about missing the 2nd flight.

My plane arrived to AMS 20 minutes late, so I only had 40 minutes to catch the next flight. I left Schengen zone, so I had to stand in a huge queue and wait for the security check. The line did not move anything in half hour, many people were anxious, but they opened a fast transfer line and after I showed my boarding pass to the security, they let me enter the fast queue. At the security check I told them, I have 5 minutes to catch the plane. They said run, and after running a lot, I entered my plane, they closed the door, and started the take-off process. Coming back to Europe was smooth because I had 3 hours to transfer and I arrived at 5 am.
