It's a Wonderful Village - The Story Behind Santa's Summer Home is the heartwarming origin story of Santa's Village, a beloved children's theme park in Bracebridge, Ontario - the "Heart of Muskoka." This is a historical documentary exploring the economic and nostalgic impact of a small Ontario town's creative venture.
Is there a longer version going to be released?
It was on Cogeco, province-wide, June 6th at 8 PM. But I'm hoping that they'll have it somewhere else.
I have many fond memories of visiting Santa's Village as a child. ❤
Interesting that this Santa's Village opened about the same time as the Santa's Village in Jefferson, NH. Both are still going strong. The one in Jefferson, NH is now operated by the third generation of the family that started it. It looks like the Canadian Park is similarly family owned.
