Awesome. !
Seems to be more places to Stealth camp and I thought. Thanks for the videos.
@@Robjhikes yeah there’d be plenty of spots in the state game lands. Didn’t see another soul while we were in there (although we did hear people hunting lol)
Bump into the @thewanderingwoodsman7227 on any of your more recent mason-dixon hikes? He's been section hiking the trail as well
🦌🗼🏞
I used to ride my quad past that tripoint stone, all the time growing up
What actually is the Wago Club? Also you said car, you in a car or still in the same van you did the tour on?
@@TravelingGamer_ same van. Wago club is a bar I guess? Or maybe a social club
👍✌ watched your intro video. Daughter of a flight attendant. Explains a lot.
Yeaaaaaahhhhh
Did you leave the J in that geocache? lol I was there 2 days ago
We made that wrong turn too and came down the side too!
Wasn’t me! I don’t geocache
@@borderlineobsessedtravels5649 lol I wasn’t there for geo either we just opened the metal box in the rock squeeze and found a fresh J with humidity pack lmao! Score!
Just sectioned from Havre de Grace to end of Gut Rd in April. stealth camped. Too much road walking for me to want continue after susquehanna sections.
I think that’s a reasonable decision
👍🌱🍀🌿🌴✌
Very nice. Glad to see another video. Keep posting, please.
Hah! It just hit me "Borderline" obsessed travels. Cause you do high points , tri points and " borders". Cool 👍✌
🤦🏾♂️ Dear Lord.😂😂😂 That made me laugh out loud. I'm just shocked that someone out there shares such a weird passion of mine. I feel so not alone now.😁 Keep up the good work.
Learn more about the Principal Meridians here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_principal_and_guide_meridians_and_base_lines_of_the_United_States I have visited First Principal at OH_WV_PA, Gila and Salt River, AZ; Willamette, in Seattle. They were established consistent with Geo. Washington's concept, mostly in the 1800's, as the westward expansion took place.
Thanks for the video about your journey, I felt like I was there... Did you find any Mason Dixon Monuments? Do tell on your next video!
I did not but I can keep my eyes peeled in the future
Glad to see you back,
🍑👇☢🏭🏠
Great video! I, too, am a geo geek. I live in MA and have been to every piont in your video. I, too, missed getting to the MA_VT_NY tri point for the same reasons as you. I will return! Keep up the great work! In October 2023 I was to the "Point of Origin" at the OH_PA_W VA tri point. The point was commissioned by George Washington to establish a reference for westward expansion.
I say I don’t care about water tripoints but then you tell me about the point of origin and now I want to visit it lol. If you make it to the ma ny vt tripoint let me know how!
Thanks for this video! My grandfather took me here on ATVs with a bunch of his friends as a kid. I've always wanted to go back. I wonder if I could make it to the tri-point in a FX4 off road single cab F-150?!
i want to say that would work. i'm definitely not a car guy and couldn't tell you what truck the guy who gave me a ride had but make sure you have a lot of clearance. I think it's about 2 miles from the point where the road stops being maintained to the tripoint and from what i remember the last half mile is the worst so you could just walk that part if you needed. if you get stuck youd have to resort to finding a local with a tractor to get you out
Interesting!
Enjoyed
6:50. #CUT THE CHECK
I always tell myself I'll pick up other peoples trash then rarely do. Do you publish a map/list of the counties you've been to?
I’ll send you a link to it
Really good job. Kisses from France.
You are correct in figuring out the mystery monument is not another tri-state marker. If you look closely you'll see it was set by the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey and it looks like the date was 1935. Back then (and I'm pretty much doing this all by memory from back in the days when I worked as surveyor) part of President Franklin D. Roosevelt's New-Deal WPA program to put people to work and to pull the US out of depression, a nation-wide network of survey markers exactly like this one were established. All of the control points were set in safe (at the time) locations and were pretty much rock solid, set in stone or real hefty concrete pillars. Extremely accurate survey techniques were done to establish latitude and longitude coordinates on each monument including, but not limited to, star observations kind of like using a sextant in the middle of the ocean. Each monument is named for something major in the vicinity of the monument which is why this one is named MDP Corner because, obviously, the actual MDP corner is very close by. The USC and GS monument was never meant to represent the actual corner because the two kinds of surveying are as different as night and day. One is to establish property boundaries while the other is part of a huge latitude/longitude control point network system primarily used to make maps, for example like the ones your GPS device uses.
By the way, the Ebright Azimuth sign kind of references what I'm talking about a little bit. I also want to point out that the control markers were set by both the USC&GS as mentioned above as well as the U.S. Geodetic Survey (USGS) as well as some state survey departments. Plus, a lot of the monuments have just latitude and longitude coordinates (no elevations), others have only elevations (bench marks) and some have both.
VANLIFE4EVER!
Was wondering what your were up to. Why was he RTT underwhelming?
We enjoy all of your vids! Hope to be as adventurous someday. Keep going!
👍✌
Okay, I gotta say this is pretty darned clever! I missed if you have a fire extinguisher. That's a must in my book. I love the screen around the back hatch. I might consider getting a tarp and some poles to put over that hatch and hang the screen from the tarp. I would probably use binder clips. I love those things, they are so handy and versatile and come in so many sizes! Your toilet is brilliant! You did a terrific job designing and executing the design. I use a 5 gallon bucket, A bag and an adult diaper for my emergency toilet. For the toilet seat, cut a pool noodle to go around the top of the bucket, slit it so it will fit on the bucket rim and fasten it together with duct tape. Your shower/dishwashing solution is really good too. You have exercised a great deal of ingenuity in your build. The bed set up is excellent. I hope you're an engineer, because you've created some very clever solutions here, and with low investment! Good job!

Please stay safe.
Do you have a national parks pass?
i do!
Woah that's neat!
This section seems like it’s marked a lot better then the 1st section.

Water and Dolphins or were those porpoises? Either way another great video
They were dolphins!
Glad you didn't fall! I'll bet it smells wonderful there💞
Thank you! And yes I thought you were more than mildly interesting LOL I'm getting ready to venture out myself and I'm trying to decide which minivan to get or should I try to finance a van? I like the idea the minivan because you can be more stealth. Good luck to you! 💞
That's a long hike! Wow!
Hehehe
you deserve to be in the guinness world record book
👌✌
How come no fridge, solar battery and solar panels?
havent found a need for them
Cardboard then the material glue just an idea
I was going to hit up Voyageur dew months back because guy at Dry Tortugas National Park said you can see The Northern Lights there. I hear thats a big draw for that park. I think even dome igloos are somewhere up there in MN.
Dude your hair is epic... Safe travels 🥾🚐
Thank you!
Why do most go full detail on where stuff is located. The van we got it....the side door pocket the passenger seat this drawer that drawer in the fridge in the cooler under here over there up here right there. Too much unnecessary yapping and not trying to be negative to you but it's to all. useless content
For someone complaining about too much yapping, this sure is an unnecessarily long and useless comment to leave
I found it very informative content. Its a TOUR video.
Add in a shower, tv, window air conditioner, fridge and solar panels and you good for life. Van life, that is.
No way too complicated
You have stowaway seats in the rear of your van. With that seat, you can use to transport guests, fold the seats down and you can use it for a 4" tri fold mattress. Now you have a bed and seats for your friends.
thank you for the video, I’d be heading south instead of north 🤷🏻♂️
This was recorded about a month ago, just didn’t want to put out four videos in a row too quickly
