He loved his enemy now that is a man.
My favorite character in cinematic history... and possibly the best.
Scorcese is a genius
I am still here brothers. One day the channel will return. Right now I am going through a lot of shit. Stay strong like the butcher.
I'm 270rmy the butcher because knives don't run out...wanted

Daniel Day at his finest. Damn good work 0f art. Scorssee is a God of directors.
Movie is super cringe, not one of my favourites but DDL's acting is 2nd to none. Steals every scene he has. DiCaprio and Diaz - pretty wooden. 🪵
He's the character you hate and love at the same time
²⁰²⁴ "It was only faith that divided us..."
I respect the principle.
My guy dropped the best bill the butcher edit and dipped.
Bill the butcher would be a great president today 😅
This was considered the “villain” in a movie 20 years ago. Imagine that.
Bill the Butcher is here to remind us before feminism what men once were. Pure unadulterated Masculinity is a beautiful thing indeed.
Most of those men were 🌈 back then. So I don’t get what you mean here
@@Wh4L205 l like how you just made that up, believed it, and felt the need to post it.
I never rooted so hard for a villain in a movie in all my life.
“That’s a wound!”
“Few are those amongst us who are.” -Me
" I killed the last honorable man 15 years ago ". The only person I ever killed that was worth remembering. That one monologue he does talking to Amsterdam has a few great lines in it.
Amazing job!!!!
Bill the Butcher is terrifying. Completely unafraid of physical conflict, carrying razor sharp knives, who'll mutilate you without remorse.
this is a great movie and based on a true storey
Echoing what others have said. Daniel Day Lewis is nigh untouchable with this performance. Brilliant acting.

Who is this under my knife?
I’m Korean. I saw this film when I was in a prep high school in Ojai years ago. What I thought at the time was, without knowing who DDL is, that they somehow found this one hell of an patriotic American psycho who literally was born and ready at 45 years old for this role. Years later I found out he was Irish and that’s when I started to watch his other films.. and I was mezmerized especially with In the Name of My Father. I didn’t come in to this whole DDL fan page out of a recommendation. I came here by my observation. The dedication.. I worship it.
I live in ojai its changed a lot. It lost its charm
He was an amazing actor who would put his whole self into any role he took. Even to his detriment physically or mentally because he wanted to make people feel. Those kind of folks don't happen so often. Thank you for recognizing that good sir. Lots of people have no idea who he is.
@@leonnaranjo8682 oh rly? Interesting can you tell me in more details? I used to go to Villanova prep
Cowards are impressed with fear. Conquerors have no fear.
The music is just so damn fitting
Can't believe he can do this after watching him in "The Age of Innocence". Extraordinary 🙌🙌🙌. 😲😲
What a great movie.
Some would understand his code and others would only understand his wrath
"Newyorkers" (c) Arthur Morgan
The butcher admires the priest , deep in his heart , he wants to be like him .
He who lives by the knife dies by the knife.
One of the few cinematic villains that isn't just cool and iconic, but respectable, even given his beliefs.
"I'm gonna teach you to speak English with this fucking knife!"
Ricky bobby!!! Lol, 🤣😂🤣
This is the best Bill the Butcher edit I have seen.
Butcher was the good guy
All of them are W countries
I love when Butcher and skinny guys dies.
To live in sham I have only my self to thank.
That's a fucking great montage!
The name of the song you used fits so well, damn.
My hero
You missed the best line of the movie. When he says; "Evil? That wasn't evil. I can show you evil. By the time I'm done with you, you'll be praying for the Devil..."
Looks a little boring
This was a weird movie for me, growing up. I'm a proud Irish-American Catholic, but generally sided with the Butcher. Read the book, if you have the time. Great video, though.
He cut his own eyeball out.. That’s one of the most painful thing’s I can imagine
This is the path that I regettid when the plan was to much God was not going to help me the devil had other shit to fry . I was left to chuse my own way.that I did.
Daniel Day-Lewis got so involved in his characters, he said he felt sadness and emptiness whenever he finished filming a movie. It weighed heavy on him afterwards, which is why he quit acting. Very few, if any actors like him.. he didn't do it for the money, fame or prestige.. he did it for the art, something we dont see anymore.
