Thin box tubing frames just don't last anywhere road salt and calcium chloride is used. It's a terrible design. Open C-channel is usually the best however I have seen even 5/16 channel frame rust through.
@@OBS_Ford_Diesels_Inc I agree used Toyota frames for a defect from the get-go they replaced them for a few years under warranty after being sued of course that deal is all over and I wouldn't qualify I'm going to pick away and make something happened to get a few years out of it thanks for stopping by I hope you are staying warm

Michigan definitely is the Rust Belt with these frames for rusting out and I believe every state I wouldn't know how to work on a vehicle that wasn't so Rusty😮😊

I usually get at least a 650 cold cranking amp for a V8 but with a little 4 cylinder maybe 500 or so would be fine 😬🛻

could try swap meets for teh floor shifter. wheneve tehy come. a store family owned had one of those 3 speed shiters hanging on the wall for years.

I really like the idea of having a wood stove it is the best heat Source in my opinion we do have one in the house also that we put in this year only fire it up to test it definitely nice to have a backup thanks for stopping by stay warm😊

Looks like it's got a taillight out. I just did a lot of electrical repair on a 1991 F-super duty dump truck I own. Right rear stop/turn didn't work, ended up being a broken crusty green wire not even a foot from the taillight. It would also randomly lose power to that same wire, which ended up being a bad contact in the turn signal switch. That turn signal switch didn't work either side unless you wiggled it into the right spot, so I took the steering column apart and replaced it with a new one. Also the headlight switch was bad so I replaced it. The headlights and running lights didn't want to work together so I made a wire harness just for the headlights and ran it to a separate switch. It gets power from the same fuse that powers the 1 interior light. Also replaced a few bad bulbs throughout the truck and by the taillights the harness was a real mess. So I cut it all out and started over. The end results are satisfying. Every light on the truck now works properly. All I did was put power to the circuits in question and use a test light to figure out where I did and didn't have power. Once I found problem areas I properly fixed the wiring. The 2 switches I replaced didn't need testing since they clearly weren't working right. That truck went from most of the lights don't work to now all of them work. I just went out to it in my free time. I probably have 12 or so hours doing everything. Wiring takes time especially when finding problems, plus fixing and cutting out things everywhere. This truck is also a plow truck. Which probably explains some of the problems. Though some were due to poorly done wiring from hacks that didn't know what they were doing.
@@OBS_Ford_Diesels_Inc hey thanks for stopping by it sounds like you had quite the project going yourself it's always nice to figure out and get them taken care of I believe mine is just a tail light bulb the tale of itself rusted off and is hanging there I think I'm just going to make do with a metal patch and securing it and changing the bulb I believe that will take care of it I would kind of like to leave it as I can so I have matching tail lights I hope you enjoy your weekend it's pretty nice here today
