Its called gluegate and its bcz of the lg panels in the first patch if huawei mate 20 pros, google huawei mate 20 pro gluegate and you'll see what to do
@@BorisZech sure, I understand you. After some google searches I found that this might be in connection with the finger print scan. Now going a software upgrade, I hope it will help.
I do not think that this can be fixed by software. :/ If you look at the upper edge of my Mate20 Pro you will see that the screen part to the left of the notch was not flickering (stays black) the part to the right of the notch was flickering. Also the flicker was different every time. Usually it came up in the evening of a day and got stronger and stronger. Sounds like a hardware issue to me.
My Mate20 Pro was showing more bugs in addition to the green flicker. E.g. the camera app often lost contact with the camera. In general the software and Hardware experience was less polished that OnePlus. I went on to a OnePlus 6T and gave the Mate 20 pro back.
And my phone

Hi sir, were you able to fix it?
I just had this issue. I dont know if its software or hardware issue. It happens when locking and unlocking the screen.
a software update did this to my phone
Same.
Hi, i have exactly this problem on my Huawei P20 Pro. I think it's a temperature problem, when the temperature is low the screen goes green.
Have a look at the comments from @Sándor Tóth below, there seems to be a software fix
My phone does the same thing. Have you got it fixed some how?
Marcus Jonsson No, I did not try because I was less and less impressed by the phone. Therefore I decided to give it back.
I have the same issues... any idea what causes it? Did you manage to get it fixed in the meantime?
Sorry no, I do not know what the cause is. I gave my Mate20 Pro back because I was not that impressed with the phone.

@@BorisZech not sure, after this update it is a mere green flash. Hope another will fix it. If not I will have to visit huawei care.
@@sandortoth7046 Hi Sándor, could you get a fix for your Mate20 Pro?
My Mate 20 Pro has that green flicker issue too. Happens when the phone is on standby in always on display mode.
Yes. When the always on display is off the screen flicker comes up if you wake the device and it shows the fingerprint symbol.
Did you sort this? I'm getting the same problem 🤦♀️
@@carolinehillier9525 The problem suddenly disappeared on its own after 2 days. That was 2 years ago.
