I wonder. Here we have $3 ish gas but it probably should be a lot more. In china Do they overtax gas or even just not subsidize it like we do here in the US , which would make EVs more desirable in comparison

Dear mr. Le & Xing, I've been following your podcasts pretty much since the beginning. I'm not on twitter, so it's nice you moved to youtube and I can finally send you a message. I am a car and EV enthusiast for as long as I can remember, and I became interested in the China car industry probably well over a decade ago. Your podcasts helped me understand the current dynamics of the market really well. Thank you! I've actually used that interest and understanding to write the manufacturer profiles (called Big Read) on Jiri's carnewschina. Now, you've probably talked about it on newer episodes (which I will hear when you post them here or on your website), but I've got two remarks about the EU tariffs. Firstly, the EU has often called China subsidies 'unfair subsidies'. I often wondered about the large amounts of subsidy going to different manufacturers, but recently I read a possible explanation. It seems to be due to the tax system and related to the consumer incentives. My country (Netherlands) has an incentive on EVs. If I go and buy a $30,000 EV, I pay $30,000 to the manufacturer and then the government returns me the (let's say) $2,000 incentive. So there's no subsidy trail to the manufacturer. Now, from what I understand, if I was in China, I would pay $28,000 to the manufacturer and the government would pay the $2,000 incentive directly to the manufacturer, leaving a money trail. But the net result is identical. I spend $28,000, the government contributes $2,000 in public money and the manufacturer receives $30,000. Is my understanding correct? If so, are these Chinese subsidies really "unfair"? Second, SAIC (MG) got a really harsh deal, with a 38% additional tariff. Rumors say that's because SAIC refused to disclose the exact chemical composition of their batteries. The EU wants to know for the 'battery passport' thing, but SAIC apparently says it's strategic and sensitive business information they're not willing to share. What's your take on this? Anyway, thanks again for your insightful podcasts and keep up the good work!

LAZR is a hidden GEM. In 2026 - 2030 the whole potential will be shown if the company continues to execute, does not go bankrupt and the demand rises.
