So my children should willingly share all their toys with any child who asks? And negotiate how long or when they want them back? So if a stranger asks you to share your stroller bc their child is tired of walking are you going to set the example to your child of just giving that item up, especially if the person can’t afford a stroller and they want to use it bc their child needs a rest. It works up to adulthood, there is nothing wrong with a child NOT wanting to share their own toys. How about a co worker asking to share ur makeup, clothes, shoes, those are personal items such as toys, will you give up those items to them?

@@DanielleSerrano Centuries of basic human interaction is hard to explain, most people are socialized when young and learn to interpret these nuances. Not sure if that was within reach for you? Its kind of like empathy, how do you explain that to someone that doesn't naturally experience the way most generally do? I'd recommend talking to a child psychologist with your child and asking to go over the current peer reviewed data for better guidance.

That’s outrageous to suggest a child psychologist based on this video and my personal thoughts. It’s never wrong to have boundaries and children do NOT ever have to share their own personal toys to “socialize” or make others feel better. @@DanielleSerrano There's nuances to social interaction. You seem very hardlined with your child not sharing. In certain situations sharing may be beneficial to their development and not having or encouraging such rigid thinking patterns. Deferring to professionals as opposed to defaulting to our own uninformed biases is something that would be beneficial to everyone you and I. It's perfectly reasonable to seek out professional opinions on your child's development you don't know everything nor do I. Best.

Yes I totally agree we have done this too! When we have playdates inside or outside in our yard I explain friends are coming and if there is a favorite toy they don’t want to share then it’s tucked away in my bedroom. Only once my son has been territorial and it was bc it was a new truck, and we put it in my bedroom until after friends left. Somehow they are very upfront and willing to share at home, maybe it’s that comfort of them in their own environment. ❤️

It’s such a hard lesson to teach children especially in social settings now that my kids are older (5&4). I always used to tell them to share until my son got older and I realized how upset he would get just handing over a toy of his, and then I was like wait this isn’t right he shouldn’t HAVE to share. When we go to play places and obviously at school they know to 100% share bc it’s toys or items that belong to that place. My son has reminded me it’s ok to have boundaries and say no. ❤️

So you’re saying everyone should share, always. We aren’t allowed to be selfish in life whatsoever of our own personal belongings and property. So if my children have roommates and their roommates take their shampoo/conditioner, food, sweatshirt, maybe even blow dryer, keys to car, that’s ok?? When does it end? If it’s my children’s personal items, they do not have to share, ever. That has nothing to do with “social awareness”. Their parenting is “tried and true” it’s actually not. We all need to do better for our children and teach them they don’t have to ever give up their own personal toy so that they can make some other child happy and not look selfish.

@@DanielleSerranono, it's not really about sharing but it's the effect it produces. Look at the world, most people aren't socially aware; the bystandered effect is a great example of that. That said they people don't see when someone is upset or not. If they aren't sharing as an annate response they can't make the connection between real world things and people's needs quickly enough to negate trouble unless it becomes an issue and by then most people are done in relationships. Now if your children were overly kind I could see this as a teaching tool but you said they readily accepted this. At least one trip to a family psychiatrist to see if this could accidentally torpedoing your little ones future relationships. What you said was clever but you need to try to balance it. I understand there could be trauma from being forced to share and people breaking your things. Maybe take them to do community work and help people you see in need? Teach them kindness as a response in so other way.

Hi! I would strongly advise speaking to your pediatrician on which will be best for your baby. I am no expert just shared what worked for me and my baby. My only advice is just be patient when switching formulas it does take a good week or 2 to see a result for baby.

My iron level 2yrs ago (last time it was checked) was at a 26, normal range is 50-170. This time it was an 85! My vitamin D levels however are very low. I have a supplement I have to really make sure I take daily now.

And all morning I knew I was forgetting something. I hope mom guilt fades as they get older 🥹
