I can say the same thing about history and all the gods that are out there was only one that rose from the dead but if you dont believe the history book of the bible how can you believe the other history and if you said there's evidence of it because people wrote it down then you would have to believe the bible

@@MercyAndLove My main problem with Christians is that you ignore common sense and logic, your ignorance of your own Bible, and the hated and divisiveness of your religion. And here's why: 1. There have been tens of thousands of gods that have been worshipped by mankind. Every single one of those religions has its stories, just as yours does. Every single one of those religions has followers who are sure their god is the real one, just as you do. And every one of those religions has no verifiable and testable evidence for those beliefs. 2. If your god is so wonderful, powerful, and real, how come he can't make himself know the every person of the planet? As a father of two boys, I have never had a problem making myself know to my sons, but your god is incapable of doing this now and throughout history. Do you know that approximately 6 BILLION people on this planet don't believe in your god? Do you know that statistics show that, worldwide, the number of Christians is decreasing while the number of Muslims is increasing? The number of atheists worldwide is increasing as well. In the time that Jesus supposedly lived, the vast majority of people on the planet were worshipping other gods, and some of those gods are still being worshipped today and for longer than you Christians have been around. 3. The Bible is not a history text. It is full of inaccurate history, mistranslations, contradictions, and thousands of later edits. Biblical scholars, who know more about the Bible than your pastor, will tell you that no one knows who wrote any part of the Bible, that Matthew was written by at least three different people, and that your god was morphed from a Jewish god that was morphed from a pagan god called Yahweh who was married and had children. Israeli archeologists spent decades looking for evidence for Moses and the Jews wandering the desert for 40 years. They eventually had the maturity and integrity to admit that had found NO evidence for either. Let's look at the life of Jesus. The ONLY stories we get about him are in the Bible and were written long after he supposedly died. And those stories were written by Christians who had an agenda to promote those stories. The Roman authorities who lived at that time, and who kept excellent records of their empire, never mentioned Jesus, any miracles, any crucifixion or any resurrection. Doesn't that seem strange to you that those amazing things were done right in front of the Romans and they never mentioned them? Christian apologists love to cite the Roman historian Josephus as proof for Jesus, but Josephus was born four years AFTER Jesus supposedly died and he only says that he was told about a man named Jesus who was a "teacher". That's the best that Christian apologists can do and it's not evidence for the existence of Jesus as some god. 4. I can believe other histories because they are verified in the archeological record and they are mentioned by other peoples who don't have an agenda to lie. Alexander the Great is mentioned by every group he conquered in their histories, we know who his parents were, we know who his generals were, and we know when and where he died. We also have the same evidence for Julius Caesar, including his own war diaries. The stories of Egyptian pharaohs are in the writings on their tombs and in the writing of other peoples who traded, fought, and lived with the Egyptians. That is how historical facts work, but they don't work for your Jesus or Moses, or a number of other figures in the Bible. In the year 1700, Christians would have confidently assured you that earthquakes and disease were caused by god's anger. That is verified in Christian writings at the time. And every single one of those Christians was wrong. It took science to discover that they were caused by shifting tectonic plates and viruses. Science has also proven that the ridiculous story of Noah's Ark and the flood is bullshit. Anyone with half a germ of common sense could show how implausible that story is. Let me know if you need help with that. 5. We do know the real history of Christianity and it's not pretty. It'a a history of war, slaughter, torture, and hatred. Let's start with the Crusades, the Salem Witch Trials, the Spanish Inquisition, the slaughter of natives in South American, and hundreds of years of religious wars between Christians and other religions as well as Christians against Christians. Catholics and Protestants fought and murdered each other for hundreds of years. The ridiculously named "Troubles" in Ireland in recent decades was a murderous fight between Catholics and Protestants. Different Christian sects in the United States not only don't agree on who is a real Christian, they actually hate and disparage each other, which is why your Constitution doesn't allow religion in public government bodies. My wife is the daughter of a Baptist pastor. She wasn't allowed to date a very nice young man in high school because his father was a Methodist pastor. You Christians can't even agree on the ideas of your own religion, but you expect others to accept your beliefs. Christians are unbelievably disingenuous and arrogant about your religion. 6. And finally, I have a question for you: Have you murdered any of your neighbours yet for working on the Sabbath as you are commanded to do by YOUR god in YOUR Bible (Exodus 31:15)? You know, like all those horrible doctors, nurses, paramedics, firefighters, and police officers who work on the Sabbath to protect and care for others? You haven't? Why not? Don't you obey your god's commandments? Or are you just one more hypocritical Christian who obeys the parts of the Bible you like but ignores the parts you don't like? You might want to think about that the next time you try to defend the Bible and your belief in it.
