I love my e93 and even better I took the badges off the back so no one can tell it's a 328i and the guy who owned it before me put the Msport 3 stripe grill on it! My street rep has increased exponentially!
I showed this to my grandpa and he said he remembered his grandfather telling him stories that he changed this very filter in back in 1856! Small world man!
That made me laugh man!! Brilliant All true also 😂
@torqueautomotivebedford 160+ years is pretty good for a fuel filter made it 10 years past spec
Hello, "Torque Automotive" I was analyzing your channel and saw that in your channel have some problem, That's why your channel is not much growing and not getting much engagement, If you can solve these problems, Your channel will grow like a storm. If you tell I can tell these problems. Where can I tell? Here or email?
Have a day off
@@torqueautomotivebedford Can I ?
Have a week
That's a nut, at least maon correctly
@aeroflopper probably a mechanic. I had a car returned from a main dealer for an engine and all mounting bolts not tight
@everybodyneedsadave lol I just read what I put, I meant "name" 🤣 I'll get my glasses on
@everybodyneedsadave fun fact main dealers are part changes they can't diagnose their head from their arses, they technicians now not mechanics
Ha my bad but yer main dealer tech have their hands tied and have to follow the manual on how to repair. Aka fire parts cannon. It’s sad but true.
My Volvo went into limp mode with just a bit of dirt in the filter. How on earth was that engine running?
it was just struggling to start, it was madness!!
It was running poorly that I can guarantee
100 quid if u lick the slime
I don’t think it has been
It was filthy!!!
Torque wrench is idiot proof, i see why they exist without the feel
It’s just good practise to torque it however some times you just can’t get it in!!
They've had the lower arm off and not changed the ball joint that's got a gash in it 🤔 Also, you ever been called MOT Hardy?
A new arm was fitted a while ago, since then the car didn’t feel right. I’m changing the arm soon as it’s split dust cover and he wants it changed! MOT hardy?? What do you mean??
I love doing these days 😊
There so good!!
I have a fiat fullback (L200) it's getting a new clutch today. The clutch has binding issues, it will vibrate while pulling off. This rips the clutch to bits, and the parts having nowhere to go, ends up completely destroying the friction plate.
Sounds like your dual mass flywheel is causing a big problem there!!!
@torqueautomotivebedford Have my new clutch fitted, everything replaced. New master cylinder, new clutch plate, new friction plate, new bearing, new flywheel. Drives like a completely different vehicle. The clutch is so light, I thought the pedal was disconnected, and so smooth now. 😊
in my case after replacing the water pump, the temperature needle keeps jumping. after driving 30 km the water is 75/80 degrees when I have the heating on. what is wrong?
You got air pockets, you need to "burp" the cooling system.
Bleed the coolant system as the other comment said, sounds like you have air in the system
Wow is that a steel and gold datejust 36 you wearing?? Rich man wearing a Rolex and driving Ferrari’s in Marbella
Please stop…. Don’t make me start on you 😂😂
We all know you love Tesla
If you believe that
What a beast
If you say so
Nearly as quick as a Tesla
Rather walk then a Tesla - this Ferrari is some thing so special you can’t put it into words
That what she said
Oh yes
Just a word of advise, copper coat is a no no that's why you struggled to put the gearbox back in, a little grease is better. Cheers
Yer it’s not the best - since move to a different grease that’s a safer and better for the input shaft!
Such a crap - use dry belt or chain.
Agree!!
ive fit mine and the cars still fitting so high on the rear with the springs on the lowest setting, took the threaded collar of the rear adjusters so its just the springs sitting on the purple threaded part without the nut to adjust the height and its still sitting so high, took my bump stops out as the car was resting on them and still hasnt lowered down anymore, anyone got any ideas
That’s weird!! Are the shocks fitted correctly? Sounds like some thing is stopping it, this kit didn’t slam the car to the ground. It just lowered it!
@ found out to get the quoted 70mm drop at the rear the purple height adjuster needs taking out fully so it’s just the spring in the back
A video that doesn’t actually show ‘how to’ isn’t a how to video🙄
It doesn’t say “how to” in the title 😂 But it does say in the video a chisel and a hammer
Hello. Do you know with what force (Nm) the exhaust manifold bolts should be tightened in this car?
Sadly not to hand. Sorry!!
Looks like all you need is a 1/2 ratchet, 2" extension.
What have I missed here??
DSG expert now! What a relief.
NOOOO… but yes I will be taking courses for DSG stuff soon… god help us all
@@torqueautomotivebedford then you'll be able to fix my Giulietta TCT if and when it goes wrong. What's wrong with a manual box?
I miss a good manwell gearbox.
That’s pure wizardry or have you got three hands 😅
Can I ask what made you think it was the compressor that had to be changed? Got a 2013 sport just came up with suspension fault, reset the car and everything was fine until a few days later it is now saying suspension will raise when system cooled? Sounds like a compressor and not a leak as it was raising and lowering fine until this warning. Thanks
We just saw the compressor as getting weak as it was the original unit. After 10 + years it will become weaker ect!! So went down that route!
Just discovered your channel as I have one of these and it needs a new timing belt/water pump, you seem like a really knowledgeable guy and really enjoyed watching you work, thanks!
Thanks! Yer we do a lot of alfa Romeo ect! Where you based!?
Hi mate got a audi a4 B9 1.4tfsi 2018. Needs this exact job doing but my pump and housing etc are situated at the back of the engine at the top not far from the window wiper motors etc. would you attempt this on a driveway or get it in a shop?
Hi, to be honest it comes down to how handy you are with spanner’s! I’m a trained mechanic so if it come in I would be doing it no matter what 😂 I always say it’s just nuts and bolts!! But it’s down to your confidence levels!!
@@torqueautomotivebedford I’m a plant mechanic so fairly confident on the tools. It’s just a job i’ve never done on a car before and with the car being expensive i’m abit paranoid of just sending it. Have you done one on a A4 1.4tfsi B9 before? If so what do I need to take off to be able to get the room to take it out the back of the engine😅 Thanks for reply to mate
first you could clean all the parts , and after assemble all , nice harmmer for abs sensor ring. thanks for video
Good point! And thanks for watching
a small pipe wrench and an extension pipe would of worked
True! Many different ways to do it, this is mine!!
Those 1.9 2.0 diesel in them Vauxhalls,always undo them with a 13m,6 corner,1/2 inch socket,on a bar.
Unless some one mullers it first 😂
Something tells me someone didn’t use a torque wrench
Not this time as my cup is in bits 😂😂
Run the engine for 10mins and let the heat help. Then it will come off easier
She come off with the grips and some warmth from the oxy!! I couldn’t run the engine as oil was drained!!!
@@torqueautomotivebedford well try it on the next car that needs an oil change.
and when was the last oil replacement? lol.
That’s a question I don’t want the answer to!!!
Hi mate. Are there any bearings in the top strut mountings? Does it worth replacing along with the rear struts same time? Thanks
I think there just rubber mount top mount bushes! So always worth replacing!
Ive never seen Michelins go bad so quickly, id bet they had some worn-out bushings? Or they drive like a maniac.
Alignment was bad Tyre pressures low Just a perfect mess
Cool video, im doing my rear shocks on my 2015 535 gt today, i had custom Bilstein B6's made for it. Looking forward to feeling the difference.
Nice!
Nice job keep it up
I’m trying bro!! I will possibly see you out tonight as I’m out with Rich MOT man 🤣
I advise people to check these components regularly. On my car, i spray them and wipe them with WD40. It keeps them like new
I would wax oil them!! Saves you doing it so regularly!!
Nice job
Thanks my man!!
This is possibly the worst “how to” video I’ve ever seen in my life. I’m actually afraid that you might NOT be trolling here. Like you actually believed this video would offer any form of value to someone who needs advice removing a stripped bolt. FML 🤦🏼♂️
“The one thing you always need when doing this job is” Me- “the correct socket?…” “A replacement” Me- also fair.
Multiple choice answers!! 😂
If after using the locking tools, you get P0011 code on startup but it runs and drives perfectly fine, what’s the likely culprit?
Your timing is out, my guess is the cam moved when you tensioned the belt!! Happened to me before!! Did you mark it up??
@@torqueautomotivebedfordThe cam stayed put. It was all locked up along with the crank whilst tensioning. Have since tested the vvt solenoid and realised it’s not actuating correctly, so thinking that might have something to do with it.
Also, although I didn’t mark it up with the old belt, I did mark the crank and cam wheels to check the timing after tensioning by cranking it over twice manually and the timing marks aligned perfectly.
Would a standard pair vise grips not have worked?
Yer but I’ve had pure success with a bit of heat and a hammer and chisel!!
@@torqueautomotivebedford i like to weld another nut to it and back it out with that. whatever works!
That's FUBAR 😂
It was! But now all sorted!! It didn’t put up much of a fight!!
I was hoping for you to impact it on after sorting 😂
That would be savage 😂😂
A pair of mole grips with a lock end would take that out without all the extra your doing
Yer but I heated it up a little and as it’s a customer car I need no issues, grips would have done it but I like the hammer!!!
Thanks for the video man! Good video! Helped me a lot on our VW Touran!
Mate that put a smile on my face! Always happy to see it help some one!! Thanks and subscribe to the channel!! 👌🏼👌🏼
It is almost criminal to design and sell an engine like this to customers. Unbelievable!!
I agree it’s so bad
We waited all that time and didn't see you do the main thing , remove the pulley lol
I know, but when you undo it, you have to kinda catch it as it comes off, I explained it in the video!! It’s weird
Did you ever figure out why the fan keeps running?
Temp sensor issue!
