DIY Birdfeeder
Bird visitors on the 15th December 2024:
DIY Birdfeeder:
"You don't need a huge garden to attract birds. This video was made in a small corner of my garden, and it's easy to do. All you need is a 6-inch wide piece of log wood. Chisel out a 4-inch wide feeding hole, approx 2-3 inch deep. then attach a water bowl on one side and screw a suet coconut shell onto the top edge. I'm filling the feeding hole with sunflower hearts, (you can use any good quality seed mix) now place the log where the birds feel safe, Set up your camera and wait for the magic to happen."

Bird visitors on the 15th December 2024: I found a small piece of log and chiseled a feeding hole on one end, then hung a water bowl on one side and screwed a suet coconut shell onto the top edge. I'm filling the hole with sunflower hearts and videoing each bird/animal visit with a Birdfy Lite Camera. Great Spotted Woodpecker

Great Spotted Woodpecker: As a garden bird enthusiast, there are few sights more captivating than a great spotted woodpecker flashing into view. Sleek and dapper, they dart into gardens, alight at breakneck speed and feed in improbably acrobatic positions. Of the three species of woodpecker found in Britain, the great spotted woodpecker is the most likely to be seen in our gardens at any time o...

Glad you enjoyed it. 🐤❤️
Nice video, have never had a jay in the garden.
They are very shy birds, but if you put out the right foods they are certain to find you. Monkey Nuts, Suet, Sunflower Hearts. 🐤❤️
Nice video.

This is brilliant 👍🏼
Hi, we do have regular birds that come every day. But the woodpeckers and Jays are really shy birds and we might hear them but rarely get a chance to see them. Sometimes we get the odd migratory bird or 2. 🐤❤️
Hello, im from Belarus and I have a question. Are there just a regular kinds of birds or rare?
Beautiful !
Thank you 🐤❤️
Wow, what a beautiful jay! We have California Scrub-Jays in our area and they are very talkative! New subscriber here ✨
Ours are very vocal and clever birds, but also very shy so not many people ever get to see one. So I'm very lucky they come to my garden. You also have a new subscriber here my friend. 🐤❤️
@@martinsbirdwatch Thanks so much! Happy birding!

This is a female goldfinch very good capture!!
I think it's a Male myself Bill as the red mask clearly goes beyond the eyes!!. 🐤❤
@@martinsbirdwatch yes but the black behind the head have some white feathers(males have only black) if I could see the wings I would be sure if the bird is male or female and the red mask sometimes confuse the people.... Or it's a young male idk it's a beautiful bird anyway my fav bird
@@billmoultos2970 Thank you for sharing this information with me Bill. I hadn't heard about the white feathers before I've always gone off the mask. It gives me something new to look out for. Thanks again my friend. 🐤❤
@@martinsbirdwatch young males birds have 3-4 white feathers but most of male goldfinches are black more yellowed wings and more black in the base of the wings the females have brown in wing base this is all I know in those years I study about goldfinches (and other birds)
Super wonderful capture
Wonderfully filmed
