The Allen Steele Show I will have current and formers US Soldiers from all branches telling their unique story of their time in service or on the Battlefield. These soldiers have raised their right hand to defend our country. Also I will be having Nascar Professional pit crew members retired and current over the wall athletes in Nascar. These individuals have very unique stories, most have played some kind of college sport, whether it be college basketball, football wrestling or professional football, we also have some military members like myself who got into the sport and made it on a professional pit crew. NAVY PILOT CHRIS MALAR, SURVIVES PLANE CRASH.
I was born in 1970 in a small city called Booneville. At age 2, my mom and dad moved to San Diego as my father joined the navy and became a corpsman. They divorced in 74 and my mom met the man who would torture me for the next 12 years.
I attended Cal Poly Pomona, had a NROTC scholarship, cross towing at UCLA. I was commissioned in 1993 and went to flight school. I ended up flying the C-2A Greyhound (plane I crashed in), was a T-34C instructore, an FRS instructor and finished my career flying the Navy's intermediate and advanced jet trainer, the T-45C Goshawk.
After the Navy, I was hired by L3 as an ISR pilot in Afghanistan. Spent a total of 18 months in theater butt quit, it just got too ...

Its a weird feeling being able to have images in my mind because of the Naudet film, it's almost like I was there. Strange feeling. Tim's best friend calling his name got me, some knew they wouldn't be going home but went into the fire anyway.

The company I worked for many years my boss Is Jack's brother in-law. Jack invited him to the Pentagon for a tour years back & He ' my boss ' brought me a book Jack signed for me with my name & everything. I thought that was really cool. My boss & I were working the day of 911 of course seemed the world stopped spinning. My father was in the military, Three nephews that are as well. To be in for 36 years is an amazing accomplishment. I enjoyed the program, was really interesting hearing a few of the stories from his career. I had some really good laughs from the funny ones like when they didn't know who he was. I could listen to those stories all day long. I believe Jack is quite modest for someone who has lived a life very few can say they have. Hats off to you Sir. & Thank you ALL for your service!
