hii, what block were you on? also what side of the building is A block, and what side is B block? :)
bournemouth is absolutely amazing
Which campus do they study psychology in do you know?
Hey, Is Bournemouth is good place for part time job and also for accommodation?? And BU is good university??
hi, do they take attendance for lectures??
Hi! It depends on the professor and how far into term you art I'd say, it's less common in lectures but they tend to in seminars
Hey there @emilysstory9037 :) was this a standard or premium room? I've just got a spot in Bailey point but only standards were available. I want to know if I will have a big window like yours as having a lot of light is important for me! I'll be on floor 8 if that helps. Thanks :)
Bournemouth stinks of urine and vomit and is just sticky and icky
Please lower the sound of the background music 🎶💙💙
This is so late but you can use nail polish remover or acetone to dissolve the stickers on the mirror!
Tysm, honestly this will so likely be an issue in the future so I'll make a note haha!
@@emilysstory9037Do the 3M wall stickers leave marks? I haven’t used them before
@@itsjduff they don't leave marks but if you take them off at the wrong angle they will take the paint off, unfortunately as hard as I tried because my walls were covered in painted lining paper a lot of paint came off, in my dorm in first year I only had 1/10 that took paint off and that was the first one I removed. So yes and no haha hopefully that helps
OMGGGG i hope you don't mind me asking but what room number where you in? i rly wanna book a room with a sea viewww
No worries! I was in flat 58 room 4 but any room in that flat would have a sea view!
@@emilysstory9037 tysm! im obsessed with the big windows bailey has lmao its part of my reason for choosing it as my accom so i rly hope i get oneeee
@@kiremio ah I loved my time there so crossing my fingers you get a spot!!
@@emilysstory9037 tyyy! just checking - do you get to book the specific room you stay in? :)
@@kiremio I did when I moved in, I could also see who else was booked into my flat so I tried to pick a flat with people who had similar interests as me in their bio. But I was the first year to move into bailey point so they may have changed how you book since!
Bournemouth looks amazing, i'm hoping to do a similar course :)
hiii! i just applied to bournemouth for psychology and was wondering how many people get their first choice of accom? i've heard bailey point is really popular, how quickly would u say all the rooms 'book/sell out'? :))
I’m currently a student at Bournemouth university and staying in Bailey Point I suggest you book as soon as you can as sells out very quickly
Hi Emily hope we can be friends hope had good Xmas Happy new year all the best for 2023 would it be iwerd ok if passed number on .⭐️❤️😊🌲🤶⭐️🦌⛄️❄️🎅🧑🎄🐻❄☃️🎄
@Emily’s story please reply me.
Hello Emily. I love your all videos. Actually i am visiting bournemouth in the next month. Can i have your instagram id in order to dm you
𝓅𝓇𝑜𝓂𝑜𝓈𝓂 😅
I love your top, where's it from?
omg thanksss it's h&m but you're super cool and trendy so i imagine you must have something similar haha ;)
Perfect timing i start on 26th! I dont drink so i am scared of being boring or flat mates being disappointed theyre stuck with me who doesnt drink, missing out, -_- xxxx
Eeek good luck that's so exciting! Don't worry too much, easier said than done i know but if anyone judges you for not drinking they're not your friend. Plus i think once everyone starts drinking they quickly forget and move on from the fact you're not drinking. It's all your choice on how you spend your night and so long as you feel comfortable and are happy then that's what matters most!
3:55 - I was the exact same to begin with, but I got more confident as I progressed through first year, so next year I'm hoping to join a society. Good vid btw
Thank you! Do it!! I wish i'd joined my clubs wayy earlier but I loved them for the time I was there so the earlier you can try stuff the longer you can enjoy them!
@@emilysstory9037 yh definitely will. Already seen a few which I'm interested in. Good luck for the future
thank you!
Good vid, which club did you prefer between Cameo and Halo?
Ooo tough call, Cameo was my top but i only went to Halo in my third year but i think Halo won it for me although it does only have one room so if you pick a night where it's not your music you're not going to have the best time but it's such a cool venue!
@@emilysstory9037 thanks Emily 🖒
Hi Miss, hope you must be doing good. I am an upcoming student in Bournemouth University for September and I want you to guide me regarding accommodation..we are struggling to find one...Will you be able to guide me further for the same
I'm so sorry I've only just seen your comment hopefully all worked out ok with accommodation, hope you have the best time!!
@@emilysstory9037 thanks a lot for replying me. I'm still struggling to find accommodation there. If possible please guide me 🙏
@@piyush6731 no worries! I'd suggest contacting the university's future students enquiry team, if you go on the website and click contact us it should direct you to them. It all depends on if you'd like to live in a flat, studio flat or house as well. You can either go through the university for accomodation or a lettings agent, I personally would recommend going through the uni as it'll allow you to meet more students and you can join in with all the res life BU activities but it's all up to you and what you want and need for your future home :)
Literally every mug meal ive tried has been horrible and dry but this one is AMAZING🤩😍
Im 25 and going to uni in September, so scared i wont make friends or in my flat bc im older 😂 x
Don't worry! all of my boyfriend's housemates were older than him I think one of his housemates was 25 and he was 18 and they got on so well, they're still friends now so I think you just have to fall into the right crowd, if they don't like you because you're a few years older then that's on them! I've found a lot of my friends are older than me and i literally won't notice unless we start speaking about what year we left school or something haha. But there are so many clubs and societies where you can make friends and finding people on your course to hangout with is so nice too because then you can help each other with the work as well. Good luck!!!
How are you dealing with trying to find tv work after/during university?
Ahaha you're asking the same question i'm asking myself. At the moment i need a break third year was full so i want a bit of a summer to relax but i'm applying to a few local video/marketing jobs as i just want to earn money so i can save up to move out but i'm also part of a bunch of tv runner facebook groups so i keep an eye out on them for any jobs i might be able to do
@@emilysstory9037 yeah I’m also in the same boat, I’m going into my third year studying television production at university of Westminster. Wish you all the best!
yes you too, we've got this!
I highly recommend Tropic Skincare it's cruelty free and all natural ingredients. You have to order it as it doesn't include the chemicals that give drug store products their shelf life, but their super greens syrum and cleanser stopped my spots completely. Also their body washes smell devine 🥹🥰
oo thank you i'll have to check them out!!
I will be 25 when I go to uni in September and I'm so scared i will be the oldest and not make friends lol it makes me want to not stay in halls
This makes me so excited for September!💛☀️
Eeek excited for you!! 🤍🤍
what a lush week !!xxx
Was such an unreal week and the weather was 10/10!xxx
Hey my mum and I own a refill van so a mobile shop that sells zero waste food and eco cleaning/hair and everyday items. Try and find a refill shop near you I know there is Almond&co, Food on the loose, and Just 1 Swap, in Bournmouth! Definitely an awesome way to shop you just dispence dry food into your bag or jar like imagine a pick&mix but for nuts and rice and oats and crisps cereals, same for liquids you pump shampoo into bottles you already have. And of course refill shops sell amazing eco friendly items like plantable notebooks/pens, deodorant, reusable wipes pads and food wraps.. :)
Yes! Just 1 Swap have a stall at the uni every Thursday so I often visit that but I keep meaning to go to Almond&Co!
@@emilysstory9037 oh that's amazing!! So glad they're getting noticed :) xxx
Im going to Bournmouth in September to study mental health nursing :)
Hi, I'm planning to study in BU in Sep, the accom price guide said, i could choose weather inclusive "bus pass" or not. Do you think it's worth to pay with bus pass? Thanks~
I think the bus pass it fully worth it, I was in uni 5 days a week and you can also use it on some of the other busses if you didn't want to walk into town or wanted to go over to boscombe for example. You'll definitely get your money's worth out of it :)
@@emilysstory9037 Thank you so much~
That looks so delicious and easy.
I am going to make this “keto”, with almond flour. Have been wanting a cinnamon roll. I live across the street from a Cob’s Bread, with humongous, delicious cinnamon rolls, but am gluten-sensitive. Glad to have this alternative. Blessings!
I couldn’t live across from a place with delicious cinnamon rolls I’d go there and never leave. No self control.
@@briansullivan5908 I, also. Hence, I make as many keto treats that keep me home and baking up a storm!🤪🙃
Hey, is there parking at the accommodation or would you suggest not bringing my car? Thanks x
You can bring a car, a lot of my friends used to park down neighbouring roads but unfortunately there's no parking at the accommodations. From personal experience though, you don't really need a car because everything is so close to the student flats. Second year is when having a car becomes more useful but most the student houses have driveways so you should be covered :)
@@emilysstory9037 great! Thanks so much for your help
Hey! I’m a BU TV student and would love to do it this year, is there a way I can apply?
Yes! If you have a look on the BU Television Production page all the info should be on there. I image you have to go through UCAS, I'm not entirely sure of the process but there will be a lot more info on the course page :)
@@emilysstory9037 thank you!
tysm this helped so much
Hi my daughter is coming to this university in September intake, just wanted to know the rent out side the university, your video is very informative.
Thank you! The rent varies depending on the accommodation you stay in. Typically I think the BU accommodation is cheaper than the Student Housing company accommodation but all the rental information is on the BU website for each block of flats, hopefully that helps :)
@@emilysstory9037 Thanks very much
I'm staying at Bailey Point this year and it's so convenient but we're struggling with finding a house for next year
I'd look through BU Lettings, feel like they're bit of a safer bet as it's all through the uni so less likely to have issues with the landlord. Keep looking though as they always put up new places I'd just look at as many as possible. Charminster is better for getting into the main town centre but Winton is better if you go into uni a lot (also had more students there so if you go to house parties they'll all likely be in Winton).
@@emilysstory9037 okay thank you so much
you’ve got me so excited for living in a house ahh !xxx
haha it's pretty jazzy xx
Is Bailey point only for 1st year students???
yes i believe so :)
How much is Bailey point, top floors monthly?? Also how's the Law department there? I'm planning on doing my Masters from there I loved your video btw!
thank you so much! I'm not sure about the law department as i don't know anyone on the course but imagine there will be some info on the uni site from past student experiences :) all floors are the same price in Bailey Point, I believe it was £166.44 per week
@@emilysstory9037 thanks!! ❤
Just made. 10/10
I'm planning to do digital marketing and ux designing masters in this uni. Is it good?
Hiya, I'm not sure unfortunately as I don't know anyone on the course. But if you look on the BU website or perhaps RUclips there will definitely be some info from people who've been on the course :)
Could you possibly make a video about accommodation / living and housing after the first year? You’re videos are so helpful thank u so much xxx
Yes of course!! I think I might even have an idea like than in my list of videos to film so will get on that asap :) thank you so much xx
Moving to Bournemouth to study at AUB in a couple of weeks, your videos have been helpful, hopefully I run into you sometime :)
Ah thank you so much! Have the absolute best time you're going to smash it! :)
Considering your a third year student, would you be willing to help out new students? As I've never been to Bournemouth and would love help with looking around ^^
I'd be very keen to make a vlog on getting to uni and doing a campus tour if that's something that might be helpful :)
Wanted to quickly say thank you to you on here to you. I learnt about the academic excellence scholarship from one of your older videos, and on results day last week I found out I got the grades for it! Probably wouldn’t have worked as hard for the grades without your prompt so thank you ☺️
Oh my gosh, that's so kind of you! Congratulations!!! I'm so happy for you, that's amazing news!! Honestly thank you so much for saying that, you've made my day! HUGE congrats again :)
