I only support this kind of initiatives but in many cases AI/ML is applied to solve a problem which would not exist if a more disciplined approach was in place. For example multiple recycling bins for metal, plastics, etc, or trying to make sense of unstructured data when it could be structured. We as society need to put more structure in place to avoid problems in the first place. Unfortunately nobody questions status quo or when they do they don’t get enough supporters.

Hardware is expensive for someone to have personal experience with and it is hard to get experience if you do not get an internship. I wonder of experience with simulation can be considered as a good experience to get a job.
