I don't know what it was that caused him to do that but I'm guessing he was drunk." .......No he wasnt drunk...being the responsible family man and "Christian" he is...IMHO he changed these few lines in the song to endear the band to the local large irish Diaspora and recent immigrants from the economic 80s mess that were living in Boston...It is a commonly known legend with us here in Ireland that St Patrick drove all the snakes out of Ireland....

Amazing footage! Achtung Baby Forever! My favorite album by far, I still remember hearing it in full after I bought it in the early 90's in high school. My mind was blown and I became an addict after repeated listens. I still haven't recovered and never want to. This is my drug of choice.

And after the concert take a cup of coffe ... or maybe eat some pizza with my friends ... Oh man ... I know I can't go back in time, but videos like this one and television series like seinfield and f.r.i.e.n.d.s. give a little taste of how it was to live in New York City in that wonderful time

I'm trying to find out what date they changed the pitch of EBTTRT. Was this the only time it was like this? It's kind of cool, but it was definitely restraining Bono's voice. Also, this is the same pitch and similar sounding to the Stones-y sessions bootleg. I think the album version is even higher than this, the familiar live version even higher than that. Anyway, cool.

It's not an Irish song at all it's about salford a city in the metropolitan borough of salford so there. Ryan mc all father of Kirsty mcall wrote it when he was in salford and what he saw and loved.
