I'm thinking that the reindeer footprint is meant to be brown. Do you guys think I should use brown instead? If I do use any colour, then let's just say that the reindeer has stepped onto a different coloured of paint and made a footprint.

you didnt have to remove the tail of the harddrive, there's a plastic there and you can pull it from there.
