@@christhompson4695 The Acts period dealt only with Jews and the Gentile Greeks added to the Jews' churches to fulfill Old Testament prophecies like Deuteronomy 32:21 and Isaiah 60:3. NO PAGAN GENTILES like you, me, and everyone today (because there are NO MORE Jews, Colossians 3:11 KJV) were even allowed to hear the gospel or be saved during the Acts period! The kingdom the Jews were looking for was still being offered during Acts but of course it didn't arrive due to their national rejection of their Messiah and God DIVORCED the nation of Judah (just as he had divorced the nation of Israel, Jeremiah 3:8 KJV many years before); and those divorces are PERMANENT and because of the chosen nations being cast away by God (although faithful individuals will be saved), all of the end time prophecy associated with those nations was cancelled, permanently, at that time. Colossians 3:11 again points to individual salvation, not national. We are living in the dispensation of the mystery revealed to Paul after Acts ended in failure for the chosen people, and our gospel is one of pure grace, a gift for the taking, no strings attached, in Ephesians 2:8 & 9. And something very few (brainwashed by their evangelical churches) believers even notice is the fact that Jesus Christ returns (appears) back to earth and receives his kingdom DURING THE MYSTERY DISPENSATION - not during a return to prophecy (because we never return to prophecy)! You cannot find scripture saying that after Jesus appears (Colossians 3:4) that Israel's prophecy will resume. The kingdom that Christ will receive for his inheritance from his Father, Colossians 1:13 KJV, will be populated by INDIVIDUALS that from the beginning of the world to that day have belonged to God by faith in him and/or his Son, Jesus Christ.

No. In John 10:28-29 Jesus tells us plainly that the sheep which the Father has given him, meaning Jesus, cannot be plucked out of his hand. Even more so the sheep cannot be plucked out of the Father's hand. The sheep of course are those who have believed on the Lord Jesus Christ unto salvation. So once saved always saved. Now, the bible also tells us that a believer who falls into sin and persists in that sin even after the Lord has convicted them of that sin but remains unrepentant , then that believer will lose their life. They will not lose their salvation but they will be taken out of the world. The comedian Sam Kinison died this way. He had a auto accident on the way to Vegas for his honeymoon. He was standing up after the accident and witnesses said he was taking to someone saying, "But I'm ok." He then said, "Ok." He then laid down and was dead. He was a Christian but he was disobeying God.

ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED IS A LIE FROM HELL ! We can lose our salvation , if we so choose. If we fall back into sin , God will give us a time of Grace. But after a time He will give us a choice. My brother ( who is now a preacher ) was given that choice by God. He fell back into drugs off and on for about 5 years , when he was young in the Lord. The Holy Spirit told him.... " Choose Me and Choose life. Or choose your ways and choose death ." My brother repented and as far as I know has never fallen again.

@@David-um2hs Thank you for sharing these anecdotes but I hope you will learn to rightly divide the Holy Scriptures to find our place in them for today, which is the letters of Paul written after Acts ended (and the nation of Judah was cast off by God) and Paul received the revelation of the mystery (Ephesians 3:9; Colossians 1:25-26) that for the first time allowed pagans (like everyone today) to be saved to eternal life. Only those two books apply to us because we were not even in the other books of the Bible! People today just pick up a Bible and start applying everything they read to themselves and that is very grave error that can only result in confusion. The dispensation of the mystery that the world is in today has only grace while God is offering anyone that wants it the free gift (Ephesians 2:8 & 9 KJV) of eternal life without any works required! There are no strings or perks attached except for the seal of the Holy Spirit that keeps believers saved forever (Ephesians 4:30 KJV; and the upfront forgiveness of all of our sins, Colossians 1:14 KJV)! With a benefit package like that, we have no fear of being killed by God or even chastised with illness or misfortune. Conversely, our obedience does not bring "blessings" like money, jobs, spouses, etc. It's way past time for an intelligent understanding of our relationship with God today through Jesus Christ.

@@christhompson4695 Thank you for sharing that but Ephesians 4:30 assures believers today of the Holy Spirit sealing us unto the day of redemption. You can't be any more secure than that! And with the "forgiveness of sins" for those that trust Jesus Christ in Colossians 1:14, there's nothing left to cause us to lose our salvation! During the dispensation of prophecy (the Bible from Genesis to Acts 28:28-31), it was possible to be cast off by God for various reasons; but we are currently in the dispensation of the mystery (Ephesians 3:9 KJV) and believers are sealed with an unbreakable seal no matter how reprobate they might become! We are actually saved by the faith OF Christ (KJV), and not even by our own faith! When we put our faith in Christ, it is then HIS faith that saves us and not our own! Best news ever, right?
