The exact moment the Dems lost my vote? It was in 2008 when Barack Obama was running on a platform of “hope and change we can believe in”. My dad told me he’s a socialist and I did my own research. He was right.

The left's one issue was not Trump. As far as abortion, the Dems had multiple chances to codify RvW (which is really about medical privacy not just abortion), but they didn't. Obama had a supermajority and didn't. The "party of women" dropped the ball on RvW, even with the first female VPs ever...who is a lawyer. The Dems failed women.

It sucks being misunderstood by toxic people. But then you remember they're toxic people, too. Not saying Dave's perfect. But I'm happy not being understood by miserable people. Says something about me too.

I cannot believe this incredibly rational, smart, successful woman had her career derailed because of comments concerning the Covid vaccine mandates. Said views are more common than ever (namely that businesses shouldn't be able to mandate an untested vaccine as a condition of employment). Anyways, hope you are well Sage, we all rooting for you.

As Sage said, the Dems focused on one issue in a Federal election: Abortion. Which is now a state level issue. Go figure.

I think the dems and their allies refusing to acknowledge Biden's cognitive decline ("decline" doesn't feel like a strong enough word) just destroyed the public confidence in them. People talk about the economy, identify politics, left vs right, Harris herself, but it was then saying to us "he's fine, you're crazy" that was the beginning of the end for them. It was clear to anyone with eyes the man was not well, but they told us he was. You can't lie to people like that, you just can't, some are brainwashed enough to go along with anything they hear so long as it comes from the right source, but a lot aren't, most aren't. It was years of constant lies and the more they told it the more it eroded their base, and without a base no structure can stand.

Sage made it all the way to minute 20 before she brought up COVID. Interesting that Sage doesn't bring up how her bestie Sam Ponder ruined the ESPN Barstool collab.

The truth is, as much as people are ridiculing those on the left for losing their sh** after the election, I would have honestly been in bad shape myself if she won. I had my doubts about the result b/c of the potential for cheating. My plan was that if she won, I would buy a gun for the first time in my life the next day. I viewed her party as the same level of authoritarian threat as the media makes Trump out to be. They've not only threatened censorship, they've done it. In any case, this was not a normal election. It would have been impossible for me to root for Kamala if she won, b/c I know her party is pure evil. I give thanks daily that Trump won!!

The problem is that each political side has differing opinions of what constitutes "Doing Well". The Democrats say what they're doing now is "Doing Well". Republicans can't imagine anything worse than Democrats continuing what they're doing.

Biggest red flag to me telling me Dems were going to lose was when Biden wouldn’t do the Super Bowl pre-game interview. Which has become a tradition for the president to do. And likely the easiest softball interview you could possibly do. No policy, no tough questions, literally connecting with voters about FOOTBALL! And he wouldn’t / couldn’t do it.

Decades old book keeping misdemeanors got coincidentally and magically turned into “felonies” just months before the election. People saw right through that nonsense. It's crazy that our standards for a decent political reaction is to not wish for the destruction of the country simply because your candidate didn't get elected. Not happy about the results but I hope they knock it out of the park, should be the starting line.

People registering Independent drives me nuts. If people in the middle leave both parties who votes in the primaries? Extreme right and extreme left. What kind of candidates do such primaries produce for the general election? Extreme right and extreme left. If Independents went back to the GOP and the Dems, those two parties would be calmer and less unhinged than they are now. America would be better if the two big parties were better.

The Dems lost my trust post-2016 election, when they and their media shills showed not only that they weren't any better than Trump, but they were far worse.
