I believe it was one of the 1st bmws with both these systems, which is really annoying because nobody supports tuning the silly thing lol and also because the wiring is for mev9.2 ecu which is different from pretty much every other e46 making swaping to m54/ms42 or 43 more complex than it needs to be

Just open the valve cover and open valvetronic to the max then Just unplug the VT motor and sensor. You get a engine light but it will run as it should. Thats the easy way. The hard way, well thats a lot more work. Ether make it a n45.5 (n46 Block n45 head with n45 ECU) or you can use a standalone ECU with the stock n46 head. N45.5 gains more potential. The rods on n45/n46 are weak tho. So not much power for the time and money spent. The rods wil hold 230hp, anything over that wont last long

The e90 320i has the n46 the e46 has the n42. Literally the exact same except the n46 is just more refined and stronger

One is for the airbag, and one is the ABS, which both have nothing to do with the turbo installed
