There are so many dogs in shelters who dont have a home. Why do we need to breed more and more just based on selfish aesthetics of a breed
Especially the disabled dogs like chihuahuas that can't handle their own teeth and bulldogs/pugs that can't breathe, not to mention give birth without a C-section.

except my dog can't stay still we had to pin him down for his own good
trust me he's a crazy dog, so we use discipline on him to make sure he listens good for his own good. for his safety and others. we tried doing it while he sleep but he has one damn good hearing even tho he has a big ol ears.
@rheeakilang870 I found something that worked for my dog. I got a shower curtain rod and put my dogs leash on it and secured it with tension in the bathtub directly over the top if where the dog would be and giving enough room for me to move around. I put his collar on really loose so I could get the clippers around it and hands when I wash him. When I put him in the tub now he doesn't try to run away. When I cut his hair in there, I plug the drain and use a shop vac to get the last bits of hair after cleaning the bulk out by hand. It actually makes cleaning the hair and bathing/cutting his hair a much easier job. The leash doesn't have any tension. He just knows he can't run off. I give him treats and pets and pats the whole time to settle and reassure him, and I have no issues except drying him can still be a pain, but it's not too bad. Beats 100.00 almost twice a month on grooming.

Not in a million years! I would not let you near my dog. Outside of everything else, the dog is in an "uncomfortable" position that will lead to pain as the dog ages. This is not kindness this is a power trip. And close to animal abuse. Terrible advice!
When my shepadoodle was a puppy we asked the vet what to do about the hair in his ears . The first thing she said was not to pull the hair out because they get inflamed & inflamation may cause infection . I use EpiOtic every few weeks and keep the hairs trimmed . He is 3yo and never had an ear infection .

I'd rather see behavior being shaped by more positive methods. I want my dog to trust me through understanding and reward, not by force. The "rules" posted on the wall show a preoccupation with dominance, that's old school thinking. There are better ways.

Keep in mind that a dog’s nasal passages can get stuffed up just like a human’s can. Keep that in mind in you choose to hold the dog’s snout on both the top and the bottom. It may be best to get in the habit of only doing that hold for a few seconds at a time.
5:02 it’s pretty funny just how far to his left this dog manages to move his nose (not the snout, just the nose itself).
