As someone born in 95 every once an a while I’ll watch some 90s and 2000s show as a way to time travel back the times I cherish so dearly and reading rainbow strikes a chord so deep it hurts and feels so good at the same time. For as long as I live I will always come back to reading rainbow to time travel back to my childhood. Thank you Levar.

Just watching someone sitting across from me on a flight watching his reading rainbow documentary. I was ill on that flight, but after watching it from a far with volume, I was inspired and proud. Needless to say I forgot all about my stomach aches.

Which I can never repay you for. Jim Henson taught me my ABC's & 123's both in english & spanish. Like Jim Henson you are my mentor who taught me to push beyond my fears of reading limitations and push on through. I have a Learning Center in Mississippi.. I name my reading area Reading Rain bow. This was my favorite show. I as a child I learned how to read from him. How I wish to meet him.

I love Levar Burton! Reading Rainbow seemed like such a fun show and I wish I had been old enough to work on it with him. What a blessing to be a friend of his I am sure!

Levar Burton is single handely the reason I feel in love with storytelling as a kid and a writer now for my own film production. Words can not describe what this man did for me and how much he inspired me. Hell, I didn't even realize how much he did. A well-deserved award to an absolutely GREAT AMAZING MAN.

Levar has inspired me in various ways. I now get goosebumps and teary-eyed when I hear the reading rainbow theme song and "but you don't need to take my word for it".

I could not stop crying watching this. When I tell you as a kid you couldn't peel me away from the t.v. when Reading Rainbow was on. This was my childhood. Levar, you Sr are a part of my life. Well deserved Sr 👏..
