At this time, STS Leeuwin is undergoing major maintenance work which includes replacement of two masts. The work has progressed significantly but more importantly, safely. The masts have been taken off and are the patterns for replacements which are being built at Northport Services, Fremantle.

This short video is a comparison between dry film and wet-coated film scans for lightly scratched 16mm motion picture film. The principle is generally similar to genuine wetgate optical printers or scanners. The solution used was 100% isopropyl alcohol.

This old cicra-1970s TV commercial string was on a roll of 16mm film destined for the landfill. It has an optical soundtrack so it was a good opportunity to try the AOL Lite audio software at recovering audio from a 16mm track.
