The fact that all those people would go back there and 4x4 and ride quads and party and nobody messed with you is amazing. I heard the partied back there in the 70's and 80's were legendary also.

Shitbucket Bob in the original Shitbucket Bronco driving back in the DOD along the Delaware River in South Jersey. Bob literally painted in bold letters the word SHITBUCKET down both sides of that Bronco. Oh those were some good times.

Question, IF YOU CAN REMEMBER... you said that pit with the burned out cars is now a hole for the golf course there, how much of the course was built at that time, and did you ever drive by or explore the ruins of the old Action Mountain park nearby, before it got redeveloped into part of the same golf course?
travelsonic Wow I remember all of that. Hell its was 1993 the last time I was there. Used to take my bikes up the old tube rides and watch the July 4th fireworks from the mountain top. I was there when someone stole a backhoe to pile the cars in the pit up on the bonfire. God I miss those days.
I wheeled that place constantly in the 90’s and had lots of bonfire party’s in that pit.that pit used to be a section of “Mikes Zoo”back in the 60’s-70’s,before my time,but the owner back then used to bring bear cubs to my parents house on weekends,when I was still a thought.
