With Garmin using Outdoor Maps+ now Nate, the interface is different now. Does it automatically download the highest res Birdseye to the memory card as I cannot see an option when saving, only when using Birdseye?
Nice job and great description.
Good idea. Thanks for posting. I just ordered a 24x24x48 for a single P1S printer as I had watched your video a few weeks back and the idea has been percolating since then. After ordering I searched for your video again to see which type of tent you have and discovered it is the same brand. It was then I realized you seem to have your tent set up on its side. Is this correct or am I looking at it wrong? Just checking as a larger unit on its side might work better for me as I have 3 printers that will need enclosures. Due to space limitations I will probably keep the 24x24x48 for one printer but may consider a larger one, placed on its side for the other two. Thanks again
Yep! It's laying on its side. They have multiple outlets and that lets you orient the grow tent on its side.
@@nateatgoodmayhemracing4597 Thank you. That is good to know. I will have another look at my space available and see what I can work out. Less expensive to get one tent than to have to run multiples in series. Might have to send the smaller tent back:)
Hi, I have a destroyed front control harms braket from the frame. Do you know a company that sells doe's to replace?
Unfortunately no, I bought one of the last Toyota had in the northern hemisphere. There are plenty of companies that sell reinforcements, but not the raw control arm bracket. I recommend trying to find one in a salvage yard.
Excellent video and amazing build. How secure is the chase suction cup mount? Would it hold up to a raptor run in baja with 1000 miles of off road or would I be wishing I had the race dock and mount half way through? My bronco raptor does not have a lot of mounting space and the suction cup would work better taking up less window space pending it's secure.
It's secure and good on the glass at prerunning speeds. Raptor runs are usually faster, so I think you'll want to hard mount it. I don't think the dock is necessary though. I think there's a better way to mount it and keep it in the window for you. Google RAM-DT-207-TRACK-EXA-29BU I'd get something like that, the ball that bolts to it and use the chase setup.
And thank you! I appreciate it!
@@nateatgoodmayhemracing4597 thanks for the info. That looks like a good option.
i love the beats and the truck ❤❤❤
Thanks Delly!
Good information in regards to the handling of the VOC's I have most of the methods implemented minus the grow tent. I vent directly to the outdoors via fan and ductwork exiting through a window, when printing ASA, ABS, etc. PLA and PETG I run external HEPA/CARBON filters only. .Will be interesting to see your test results in future videos. I may consider installing a grow tent as well.thanks for posting. Subscribed
Great stuff Nath, thanks very much for this. Looking forward to seeing it in Kenya.
Thanks Kier! Here's a link for anyone interested: rhinocharge.co.ke/
I'll say this Nate... I'm in a 4rnr group on FB and scrolled past many videos. Decided on this one and you told me why...have never had a braking issue,so I was curious.. thank you
Thank you man, I appreciate the lights, just showed in the mail today, will definitely be installing them soon! I apologize for not being able to help was unable to have steady access to my vehicle when I made the order, but I appreciate the effort and quality you put into this product!
Most everything I agree with you on, except the process you described on the “dehumidification”. There is no mechanism to humidify the air inside the air handler/furnace unless you have a humidifier installed. The evaporator will only pull moisture out of the air by condensing the water as the air is cooled in the evaporation coil.
Well said, and I appreciate you clarifying that. You’re right, the only moisture that can be there was in the air to begin with.
@ I am in Houston as well. I’m curious how many square feet you are using this unit to dehumidify? Also, what has been the energy consumption of the unit?
Great simple video!
Do you have links for everything for the bambu grow tent setup?
Ordering my mount and a couple of Garmin Baja's from Nate!
Just wondering why you are filtering the exhaust air to the outside. And do you just allow the Bambu exhaust duct to vent to the inside of the tent? The VOAs become harmless when diluted with the outside environment. Would be interesting to see a video of the air pattern with a smoke generation within the tent. Glad to see a few are reading and researching the health hazards associated with 3D printing. I am sure the government will start requiring filtration standards on the printers before long. Surprisingly, I haven't seen any 'print farm' channels describing what, if any, mitigation methods they are using.
Good observation. Yes, I allow the Bambu exhaust duct to vent to the inside of the tent. I "Y"ed the exhaust air to a bathroom's exhaust duct. That exhaust air can backflow into the other room, and vice versa. I have added air dams so the air can only flow one way, but I use that filter as one additional layer of assurance for the minor leakage that happens. To your point, I also want to do Schlieren photography and see the air patterns around the printer. It's a long term goal of mine. I hate to say it, but I doubt few, if any print farms are using methods of mitigation at all.
So parts list 1998 2wd 4 runner Kinda wanna build it to later on it going on the sand mostly but 2 inch spacers, 1.5 or 2 “est”rough country shocks in the back, 1.5 inch shock spacer up front oem shocks , 20 inch rims, 295/55 tires MT pro como rn but it’s hitting in the front the wall area closest to the door how do I trim that piece off the easiest or most effective way? I wanna be able to go over bumps and not hit or rub and likewise for just hooniganinggg in the desert
Im sure this is an interesting video but the excessive motion made me want to puke.
You're right! I've been trying to make all my later videos more stable.
Can you put the list of items used in the description of the vid? Looking to install this fall. Thanks
i got 2 printers in a 150x150x200cm but with it being walk in, gets a lil claustrophobic and it takes up most of the room's space. in my case i think it will be best to enclose them singularly :(
Question about the filler hose: When you fill up the tank, is there sometimes fuel sitting in the filler neck hose until you can drive it some? Thanks for the tips on the vent line, I need to find a discriminator valve.
@@TEAMPHY6 you’re welcome! Yes, pit crews train to make sure the filler neck is partially filled up every pit stop. Almost no one uses senders/fuel gauges, so that fuel sitting in the filler neck hose is the only way to know the tank is full. Out of all the race teams I hang out with, my truck is the only one with a fuel gauge. That, and you’ll get a couple gallons more range.
MADE IN TEXAS!!!
Fantastic idea with the tents. I might consider one for my laser-cutting station.
What’s with the Gloves? Do u have hairy palms.
Well this confirms my thoughts. I was just talking to my friend the other day and thought "I wonder if I can use those indoor grow tents to make a better, easier enclosure for my 3D printer." So thanks for the info!
You're welcome! Are there any specifics you'd like to see in the next video?
@@nateatgoodmayhemracing4597 Not much really, you covered a lot of the details, and the equipment. I have a Creality CR-10s5 so it's larger open printer, but was looking at a way to enclose it to keep heat and humidity under control. This helped a lot since I do have a stainless-steel nozzle and was thinking of printing like ABS and Carbon Fiber filament and those have some bad VOCs when printing.
You stole my idea
No air it feels like the master cylinder too small. But that’s stock. When you first apply the brakes it’s softer than normal, but if you’re on and off constantly it gets hard like no power brakes. FYI it has over 312k miles
I don't know man, that still sounds like air in the lines. The other thing I'd try is tuning/setting the rear brake drums. Have you done that? Quick and dirty way is to go in reverse fast, slamming on the brakes and yanking the ebrake as hard as you can until the 4runner stops. That can make the rear drums adjust without getting under the truck and doing the click adjusters in the drums.
I just added the 13WL and the 318mm drilled rotors and Brembo pads, I broke them in. But one thing I have noticed is the brake pedal is a little harder to press especially in an emergency (like driving without power brakes, also the bottom of pads sit about 3/4-1” from the rotor hat) and no mater how fast I went and broke hard, the tires never locked up and anti brake never engaged. Is there anything wrong that I had done? Was I supposed to get the smaller rotors? (I have 17” rims)
If the rotors fit, they should be fine. What you're describing sounds like air in the brake lines, and you need to bleed all four brakes after swapping out the front calipers. Did you not bleed the rear brakes by any chance? I'd blead those and then the fronts again. Get a buddy to do the brake pedal while you bleed--should take a couple ounces of brake fluid.
What class do you run it in?
It's a Class 3. However, since I'm new and learning, I race sportsman class. Car #1491 in the Baja 1000 last November.
Have a 2 truck the same model that what we do on qued
Okay, I made that comment immediately I saw it on the video. I have now watched the whole video and discover you need fabricate it and have plans to sell them! Excellent news, keen on one!
Thank you! Feel free to contact me with details on your build. Let’s see what it takes to make it fit yours!
According to the above, one month ago! Nath is manufacturing my mount now and sending soon. Pictures once it is here and in!
@ your welcome, Kier! I’m going to share an update video on yours this week!
Love the co-driver mount system. Is that self-fabricated?
Question on the waypoint shortcuts - where are they stored? ie: what collection are they under when it comes time to race? Is there a way to have them all land in a custom collection by default? ie: I'm racing King of the Hammers, it's 3 different laps. I'd like all my waypoint shortcuts for Lap 1 to land in a separate collection compared to Lap 2 and Lap 3. Your videos on the Tread XL are super helpful!
Thanks Tim, you made my day! Quickest and easiest? The waypoints are unassigned by default. As soon as you're done prerunning a section, import all of those recent waypoints into that collection. For example, if you prerun lap 1, save all of the waypoints into Lap 1's collection at the end of the day.
Excellent videos! You're a true DIYer. I asked my HVAC company to install it. They connected the Aprilaire in parallel, bypassing the air handler and I thought it was wrong because the filtration quality of the dehumidifier is poorer than my MERV13 filters. The Aprilaire website shows that dehumidifiers take air from a return and send back to the return at a later point. After watching your video where you suggest to bypass the air handler, I don't know what's right. Maybe they did install it correctly.
Thank you! You made my day! Here’s why I think the lesser filters are ok. I have had better allergies since installing the dehumidifier. With the slightly drier air, even with it’s MERV8 filter, my air quality is better. I still use MERV13’s for my handlers.
And yes, the bypass is the best way to do it. It’s an install variation that’s buried in the instructions.
@@nateatgoodmayhemracing4597 Thanks for confirming! They still need to come and reposition the dehumidifier's supply. They chose an easy route and connected it where there was most space on one of three supplies and after the damper that is normally closed in summer, so the dry air goes to the wrong part of the house instead of the whole house. Also, the Aprilaire didn't solve the basement humidity and duct sweating problem, which was the main reason for its installation. I watched another video where they recommended a separate dehumidifier that will take air from one part of the basement and supply dry air to another part of the basement to promote ventilation. Like one of the portable ones, but much bigger and covering more area. That one I can install myself. The reason I called the HVAC company is to keep the warranty on the system, which only runs for another year. But the warranty on the AprilAire is for 5 years, so I can't freely reconnect it. I have to push on them to do it correctly now.
Do you have Aprilaire programmed to bring in fresh air at certain times? Can you go over programming Aprilaire? Thanks
Good question! I like the ASHRAE 90F criteria since houson's air quality is so bad, I'll try to make a vid for you.
LOL we were totally drooling over that guys screwdriver on that AMS video
Thank you!
Very cool!
Hello Nathan. How can I order the plug and play option. I don’t see it on the Square payment when ordering. Thanks.
Howdy Rich, I responded to your message on FB. I've added your options to my log. Once you finish paying, you're will be in the system for Ambers with Plug-And-Plays .
dude, thank you for challenging me to learn how to do that! Try it now!
Im part of the first group buy, i sent a message, and never got a response on what needs to be done to get mine made and shipped.

Thanks. This was very helpful. It took me about 15 mins to figure it out. I added a folded towel to the lumbar area until I can find something better. I got the zipper open no problem. I can't get the clip on the bottom loose. There's 2 plastic pieces that slide back and forth.

Awesome build mate, that dry brake is really high up, having a 25-30L jug up that high to refuel is not ideal. Unless you have a really tall friend haha
I agree! We're upgrading to the smaller Jeg's no glug jugs for future races.
nice! I'm part of the $50 group buy and would like to have socket for the turn signal instead of splicing. Do you offer them for sale?

@nateatgoodmayhemracing4597 when should we use acetone or mineral spirits?
Anytime there's oil, grease or rust protectant on the steel, that's when it's time to use acetone or mineral spirits. Acetone is better, mineral spirits is a backup option if there's no acetone available.
