Empire minis will soon be released for the old world! There are currently no place in Ljungby who sell gw stuff. The closest physical stores would be Lekia, Hallarna or drakar och mazariner in Halmstad or Nexus in Växjö.

All the minis in the ultimate starter set are push-fit and can be assembled without glue. I always prefer using it anyway to get a more solid feel. Plastic cement is your best option for glue. That can usually be bought at the same place as the miniature sets, someplace where they sell plastic models of any kind or any decent general hobby/craft store. The buildings require glue.

From what I hear it's pretty similar to Fantasy 8th ed. but streamlined. In which case id probably like it😊 The strange and weird situations that could sometimes arise that made a game more of an experience than a actual game is something i sometimes (strangely) miss...maybe not my vampire lord dying turn one from a miscast with two dice trying to cast a spell, i don't miss that, but other stuff.

Yes. There are some “ feel bad moments “ but nothing like 8 th edition . This is prob most balenced game yet. Definitely different , but very cool. I’m from way back before the death of old world. So I’m happy.

Have you tried The 9th age? It's made to be as balanced as possible and it plays very well which makes it great for tournaments. However in friendly games with a mate over some beers you kinda miss the charming randomness of Warhammer fantasy 😅🤷

I have not. Closest I’ve been is WAP and that was cool. But with so much invested in TOW I’m into it now. So many people here are playing it now. Wich is a new thing. I was still playing it while it was dead. I guessTow is “ undead “ now. Haha.

But I know they are ment to be a rare kind of troop option so it might make sense that the rules reflect that in some way. I'm guessing you probably found your answer by now but if not I wish you luck on that endeavor. forums or online groups for rule questions or discussion is probably your best bet!

I like the ones where you have some options 😊😅 The mono poses, not so much. My favorite kit from gw is probably the old zombie box, Empire militia or Bretonnian Knights of the realm. What's yours?

I'd rather pay someone else to print for me, saves me time for painting and playing. Sure, there are some cool sculpts I'd print. But then I'd probably end up mostly printing cool bases and small terrain things like doors and windows and small furniture and stuff like that 😅 What would you print?

Yes exactly! I'm always recommending to just begin. As adult we tend to focus on the equipment for some reason, maybe it's the money thing? I mean I'm not rich but i can get all the paint, brushes and minis i want (or could ever manage painting) and i guess compared to practice, the acquisition of supplies is the easy part. Adults need to learn from children sometimes, they'll use whatever crappy brush they have and just slab on whatever paint they have on whatever miniature they have, just for the fun of it. They don't care all that much about the result, as long as they had fun doing it. 😊👍

@@WinterwolfMiniatures I think it's a case of just 'buying this thing/paint as it'll make me better or things easier' and as an adult you tend to have more disposable income so you can buy the shiny things

The gathering aspect surely plays a part. Too bad there is no hunting aspect anymore. I weirdly miss the days when you got to go through hordes of blisters on a rack, always with great anticipation. Never finding that special mini you vaguely remember from a white dwarf two years ago. Nowadays I just click a couple of times on my computer and a day or two later a package arrives 😅 there's no sport in that 😅

Whenever i need assembly instructions i just search for it online. The internet has yet to let me down. I would start there. There are a couple of websites who offer scanned copies of gw instructions I believe. They should come up if you search for it😊

Thank you ☺️ From what i understand (from my limited experience of the age of sigmar, mainly from a few novels) they are brought back from death to fight again and again. I hope they like it, like some kind of Valhalla. Lets hope for the other factions sake their management don't figure out kamikaze warfare. Seems like an obvious strategy otherwise 🤷😅

Thank you! A tiny drill can sometimes be essential when assembling bigger metal minis However, 98% of the time it's used to drill out gun barrels. Some think that's essential too, others don't. Dealers choice. I find myself sometimes using the mini drill bits for unplugging paint bottles and super glue bottles as well😄 It's a good little tool but maybe not at the top of the list of stuff you need to get going.
